  My Grandmother has died today

  this morning, my grandmother died at age 92. she was a jw and i never told her that i quit years ago (but i guess my father told her).

  fortunately, i had a chance to see her a last time this tuesday when i tried to see her and learnt she was in hospital.

  my father had not told me that she was in hospital.

  Thanks for your words of condolence and advice. I had not not heeded this advice to wait until I have calmed down but had called my parents back and had told them what I think of their behavior. But there are walls around them. They say we do not have a common bases and do not match. Of course, they are also in a difficult situation and I should have waited.

  I have also given up the hope that they awake. My father was inactive for some time due to issues with his fellow elders but he went back and is more convinced than before. I am afraid if he or my mother should wake up from the cult it will be too late due to age to have a serious talk.

  This morning, my grandmother died at age 92. She was a JW and I never told her that I quit years ago (but I guess my father told her). Fortunately, I had a chance to see her a last time this Tuesday when I tried to see her and learnt she was in hospital. My father had not told me that she was in hospital. He was busy auxiliary pioneering. At least, I got the call today that she died. It was an uncompassionate call just stating the fact and then stopping the call. I am sad and angry about my parents' bahavior.

  i was born in 1964, 50 years after 1914. even in my teens i was doing the sums.

  i had a worse case scenario figured out - if the 1914 generation could apply to babies and even if they lived to be a 120, i would still only be about 70 years old after they'd all died!

  i figured i was part of the first wave of 'jehovah's people' that really would live to see the new order - guaranteed!!

  This was a very important teaching for my father and so it was for me. I took it seriously. I even told this crap to my working collegues. My father had also fallen for the 1975 bait before. He is still in and this month an auxilliary pionieer. For me, it was one of the main changes that convinced me that it was not the way to go.

  the source of the information is believed to be reliable as it seems to be intimately related to some officials of the branch.

  They may refer to the GB to give this unpopular decision the strongest support. If it was just another comitee there (even personally known to some people) there might be questioning. But if it is the GB it must be from Jehovah.
