Does anyone know if there is any way to know when/where these GB members will be giving a talk like this?

GB Anthony Morris 2007 DC Talk DESPERATE PLEADINGS
by doinmypart ingb anthony morris gave the final talk on friday's 2007 follow the christ dc.
in the talk he gives reasons for the r&f to trust the fds specifically the gb.. the talk is nauseating, but shows how desperate the gb has become.
they're losing control of the r&f and they know it.. jwd member booby originally posted this speech on the "gb solidifies ownership" thread.

District Overseer comments at CA reveal GB out of answers...
by still_in74 inso 2 weeks ago i went to my 2 day ca.. this had lots of interesting tid-bits, like the wt summary of the generation change.
the conductor said that if we were listeing to jesus speak we would have known he was speaking about us!
then he followed with "and thats probably what they understood too" - i couldnt believe he actually said probably.. anyway, at the end of sunday the do came about and went into a bit about all the things the org has done for us.

Why even go there. If anybody had come by, what is the chance that you would be here right now talking about the busy-bodies that wouldn't just leave you alone.
Actually, I wouldn't talk bad if someone did come by. Unfortunately, no one did, and now they all assume I've left "Jehovah" because I've stopped listening to the lies of the Watchtower.

Awesome..
I was just talking to my mom about the recent "generation" change last night, and she didn't seem too sure what they had just studied two weeks ago... I'm going to make it a point that nothing new was learned...

GB sidles out of 1919 and puts 1914 in the bin. (WT study.)!!
by hamsterbait inhas anybody noticed in many recent watchtowers that christ is now said to have "turned his attention to the earth in 1914.".
unlike the 60's they do not say christ "came" in 1914. the "proclaimers book " p137 says the bible students came to discern that "christ did not return, (even invisibly), in 1914.".
the way is now paved.

RE : 2008 Assembly
by lancelink inthis afternoon i was flipping in one of the june magazines, and i noticed the assembly content page.
i started reading it and almost fell over because of this statement : .
the theme of friday will be " the spirit will guide you into all the truth" .

I've got half a mind to go to this borefest...but I REALLY don't wanna sit through it.
I already missed the circuit assembly this year, so I might just skip this one as well...
It's interesting they say spirit-directed... I would think they would want to say Holy Spirit-directed...

When I missed my CA this year, everyone was wondering where I was at. I told them: at HOME.
Does anyone bother to come by and visit, maybe provide some spiritual support? Hell no.
The GB has such a hold on these people, it's ridiculous. It may seem to most of y'all that the R&F are frustrated or saddened, but they're not. From personal experience, I still know quite a few Witlesses who are hardcore, and who take in everything they teach. The Tower is not done ruining lives yet...

"Lost Sheep" Campaign?
by hamsterbait inone of metatron's threads had the suggestion that around 2009, the witchtower will try to reverse its losses by going after inactive ones.
lost sheep.. what i will laugh at if this happens, is that the gibbering buddy has already said that one is not judged as a sheep until armageddy.
so how can you be a "lost sheeple" - it is as nonsensical as saying that somebody is a "lost goat".. i can imagine dire threats.

An elder who recently tried to get me to go back to the meetings asked me: "What would it take to get you to start going back to the meetings?"
No joke, those were literally his words. They don't even care if you're learning anything new, they just want to see attendance numbers go UP.
I'll be posting a thread about this encounter later...

Names have been changed. Why?
by easyreader1970 inthe only time that the watchtower publication uses the real name of a person mentioned is when it's some biographical experience that is the entire article.
anytime a witness is quoted in an article or other publication, they always include a footnote.
"i studied medicine because i wanted to use my life to help people.

I've always wondered about that too. What do they have to hide?'
Nowaways I just think those quotes are all somehow made up. They may sound like what someone once wrote, but knowing the WT, they tend to modify things to suit them better.

Jehovah's Witnesses are CASTING A GIANT SHADOW
by Terry infolks are about as happy as they decide to be.. looking on the bright side of life gives you more of a foothold when things go awry.
nurturing hope builds a foundation for you which enables you to save for tomorrow and build toward the future and hang on when things get tough.. people dig their own graves when they become pessimists.
"why bother" replaces "that's worth a try!".

Growing up, I felt like a damn alien. It just didn't seem normal to be a JW... then I finally woke up.
Good post, man! It's all true. They can't seem to appreciate anything worthwhile in their lives..
