i know brent r. had a thread on this yesterday or day before , but in honor of my personal all-time favorite group, i had to write a few things here !

if some of you have seen the u-tube of them performing songs with john bonham's son jason on drums , it was an incredible performance !

watching their expertise on " stairway to heaven " and " kashmir " was like being back in high school again, like they never went away !

The most embarassing moment was at a witness youth party and the Beastie boys was playing the guys father came down right at the moment the

"if it's going to be that kind of party I am going to stick my dick in the mashed potato's"

line came on. We all got a stern talking to.

my sis, my only remaining sibling, and i were discussing over lunch yesterday her 'secret' beliefs till now.

she has become a believer in spirits and afterlife, spirits that can and are contacted by the living.

not a christian perspective, but a mystical one.

I have seen things that are pretty hard to explain. Who knows. No one does really. There is no definitive truth out there. I kinda like the zen approach that if you are so sure one way or the other you are wrong or that truth is like water hard to hold and if you do it is only for a second. If it makes her happy have her investigate it further.

" new to the thought process of critical thinking, i have felt overwhelmed by the wealth of information now available to a mind opened up to society-banned material.

6. research, logical arguments found in the internet, many sleepless nights and even some final prayers ultimately did the rest. there's just no reason to believe in any type of god/ess. and even if there was a god - there's no reason to believe that ANYONE (or any book) would know any more about it/her/him than myself.

Bingo that is the way I feel.

Why all the changes?????

in my life time as a witness, there have been many changes and there are still more to come.

like the "generation" change in the feb study edition of the wt.

my question is this.

The changes are there because they make sense since the old prophicies had expired... Plus they can makethe changes the loyal ones eat them up with a spoon feeling so blessed with this new knowledge!

So so so many cd's I had to throw outt. I was once called demonized in the circuit for the songs I would play on my radio show (and they were just early punk not metal even lol) I was accused of bringing demons in peoples houses by influencing them with my music.

Two bands mentioned in the magazines I recall were Gun's and Roses and Beastie Boys. I got in trouble for seeing them both. I also almost got removed as a pioneer for seeing Duran Duran... No joke.

Got i trouble so much for the band I was in too the setlists were soo soo bad you know.

The demons in Paris and NYC - More sophisticated than the ones in Timbuktu?

remember the jw concept ( maybe it's a bible concept too) that different regions and nations are ruled by specific demons?.

i always thought that was funny.. like, are the demons in very superstitious regions "extroverted" and cantankerous, while the ones that promote materialism and atheism are more "subtle", sophisticated even?

which region does satan hang out in?.

Could an EX-JW Dating Site work?

hey!

since the "in" and "active" jw's have their dating websites, what about us?

at the moment, i see myself, at a future date, feeling most comfortable with someone with a similar background, someone who understood the issues left over from the experience of being a jw.
