i myself have always believed that when archaeology disagreed with the bible the bible must be right.

that is how i dismissed the idea that jerusalem was destroyed in 586/587 bce.

trying hard to be tolerant... would much rather hear the music he is practicing to...than just the plain drumming.. his uncle sent him a complete set of ludwigs from the 60's.....now set up in the house........ arrrrrgggg~.

darek barefoot, author of the book "jehovah's witnesses and the hour of darkness" will be one of our quests on the six screens conference call on saturday june 6,2009 at 7 p.m.est.

darek barefoot, a former jehovah's witness was ostracized from the organization for trying to expose the truth about the occultic influence in the watchtower organization.

his book documents the existence of disguised, or "subliminal"images in watchtower illustrations, and further demonstrated that these images were occultic, being drawn from witchcraft and demonology.

As an avid listener to Rick's calls, I've heard all kinds of great information and have met some great people on there. In fact, he has spoken of many important issues, ones in which you mention. How many times have YOU actually listened in on a call? I admit I'm halfers on the subliminal images issue, though some are compelling, but nevertheless if you don't agree then that's YOUR deal. The fact remains that even though some of Rick's conference call topics have been considered controversial, there have been many others that are dead on and informative. The reality is that he's doing a great service and allowing people (including active JW's) to voice their concerns/opinions. He's very fair on the calls and gives everyone a chance to voice their opinion. If you don't like what he's doing, then move on and do your own thing. BTW, what are YOU doing for the JW community? Maybe we can tear down your "outreach" to them? Nah jk

i have read today this quote from one member on facebook going by the name of ruth eeker.. .

based on her quote, she states that "as well in regards to the un, the society has various name versions registered still in the un.

so they are still not completely out of the supposed beast!".

undercover, I'm glad you brought this up. Most people don't know how to relay this info properly, and in the end get shut down due to lack of research/correct terminology. The WBTS can't join the UN, only countries can do that. However they DID join the DPI which is the informational arm of the UN, a department that I call the "PR/publicity department".
