Thank-you Atlantis so much, to let you know I do have the COC and yes it's a great read. The PDF I'm maiking is for active JW's so no I don't think I'll mention it in my article hehe. I was thinking that the Mexico incident was in a publication, but I guess it's just the letter from Bethel to the Mexican branch? TTYL and thanks again...most helpful.

(p. 151, par. 1)
Concerning those who renounced their Christian faith in his day, the apostle John wrote: "They went out from us, but they were not of our sort; for if they had been of our sort, they would have remained with us." (1 John 2:19) Also, a person might renounce his place in the Christian congregation by his actions, such as by becoming part of a secular organization the objective of which is contrary to the Bible and, hence, is under judgment by Jehovah God. (Compare Revelation 19:17-21; Isaiah 2:4) So if a person who is a Christian chooses to join those who are disapproved by God, it would be fitting for the congregation to acknowledge by a brief announcement that he has disassociated himself and is no longer one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Such a person would be viewed in the same way as a disfellowshipped person. -

Does anyone have a scan of the 1969 Yearbook pg. 50?
by middleman in<!-- @page { margin: 0.79in } p { margin-bottom: 0.08in } --> .
the yearbook of 1969 p.50 leaves the words 'and christ jesus' out altogether (out of the 1945 charter), cheekily replacing them with dots.. "for public christian worship of almighty god ...; to arrange for" .

Should you believe in the Trinity book says...
by middleman injust put together a little document comparing the watchtower's misquotes from page 7 of their trinity book.
i have been reading much of the ante nicene fathers lately and the more i read them it amazes me that the society would even mention them to refute the trinity.
by reading the writings from these early church fathers we can truly see that they belived the core doctines that mainstream christians follow today (for the most part).

Perry, thank-you for the comparisons, those will be very helpful to refer to. Atlantis, thank-you for those scans, it's good to have this on PDF. Meeting Junkie No More, right click on the images and you should be able to save and print them.
The Watchtower loves to muddy the waters about what the trinity really is. They like to mix the varying beliefs of Tri-Theism, Modalism, and Trinitarism - using them interchangably. After they have done so they say that it's a doctrine of confusion and can't be understood, not even the slightest. They'll say a RIGHT statement on what it is citing the Athanasian/Nicene Creed (ONE God in three distinct persons of the same essence/deity) then they'll say something like "well did Jesus pray to himself in the Garden of Gethsemane, how could he"? This thought starts to muddy the waters and walks right into Modalism. Of course a trinitarian would say that Jesus is not the father but the son.

"This is not specific enough; you must add to the Trinity brochure quotes wherefrom the brochure says it is quoted,"
Thanks for yall's input. Part of the reason I made this is because the society didn't have the references of the "fathers" to their quotes anywhere. The references I have of the "fathers" were written in the section B. I do appreciate your honest critique and support. Any more specific ideas on how to format this better would be much appreciated. You say there is a much better topic on this?.....would you kindly send the link?

"Has anyone ever noticed that christians dwell on the nastiest things?"
By you saying this I'm assuming you have met all of them?...
