  "Which is worse, failing or never trying?"

  Never trying I think, although in order to not try requires the effort to make the decision not to try and the ability to remain unmoving which will make the 'not-trying' successful.

  i would like to share an experience from my younger days, which now as i sit here i can't believe it's almost been 10 years now since this happened.

  it still feels like it was yesterday.. so my family and i moved out of our old hall and wanted to start new because of the crap we all went through in the old hall.

  OK there seems to be a little misunderstanding about the point I was trying to make with my little shooting scenario thing. Which scenario do you think would be safer for the homeowner and his/her children if the homeowner had no other choice but to use the weapon? The handgun or the AR? And please tell me why you think this. I really want to know how many of you perceive these things based on what I know about them.

  A little update on my family

  a few of you may remember that my wife had a kidney transplant early last year.

  since then the kidney has been incredible, giving her a new lease on life.

  it's really been good to see the light in her eyes that i had missed for quite a long time.. the counterpoint to this good news is the problems we have had with our son coltin.
