first baptist dallas and its outspoken pastor robert jeffries in recent times have called islam and mormonism coming from the 'pits of hell' and you can't be 'saved being a jew', although he clarified that being a jew is not the same type of hereticalness as being a mormon.....huh?.

pastor jeffries called the election of obama 'the rise of the anti-christ'.

Look, these kooks at this church in Dallas are total asshats for their public anti-gay stand and Timmy would probably be better served by distancing himself from them but if he feels the same way that's his business. His career will suffer but I don't think he really cares because he really believes what he believes.

As for people of either persuasion, Athiest or Faithful, being able to do a public service job without their beliefs spilling over into the job...not going to happen. They'll both be affected.

Also...

A minority does not often affect policies- This should win the award for Bullshit Statement of the Year

i'm low on friends, for various reasons.

scientists poke their calculators into everything, and the number of friends we can have is one of them.

I have so many friends that I can't even count them. However they're all slotted into divisions in my head that demarcate how close I am to them. The divisions aren't static and they (my friends) will sometimes be allowed to move back and forth between them. Being in the close-in tight division means we're really close and most people that are there never leave because they've been vetted severely and found to be reliable and trustworthy.

I also have a divsion for "internet persona friends" based obviously not on the real person but the persona that they hide behind.

my experience, and shame on me.

in a snowstorm in pa on a highway, i ran out of gas.. this was one of many mistakes for the evening.

the general rule is that a person should stay in the car and wait for help.

I do what I can the only way I can. I chop away at this thing constantly. Chop Chop Chop. I tell everyone I can about them and I'm damn good at it.

I may not bring down that shit all by myself but believe me when I say that the there are many people west of Fort Worth that won't listen to those f****** when they come to the door.

Just a drop in the bucket I know but sometimes all you can do is hope that the momentum of your integrity helps to move the world.
