  I looked at this stuff at several other sites. One of the big side effects (and yes there are side effects) is leukopenia. That means it vastly lowers the number of white blood cells and puts you at serious risk of major infections.

  ..... necessarily more religious, but more spiritual in a non-religious way ?

  although being religious is one of the definitions os " spiritual " it encompasses much more in the webster's new world dictionary , under the word spiritual it's definition is : " 1. of the spirit or the soul as distinguished from the body or material matters 2. of, from, or concerned with the intellect ; intellectual 3. of or consisting of spirit ; not corporeal 4. characterized by the ascendancy of the spirit ; showing much refinement of thought and feeling 5. of religion or the church ; sacred, devotional, or ecclesiastical ; not lay or temporal 6. spiritualistic or supernatural .

  quite a variety of definitions !

  I remember a conversation I overheard between my wife and her uber-Dub sister a few years ago (as a matter of fact the night that the JW pedophile thing played on the news). They were talking about some porkchops or ribs they were cooking and the subject got around to Trichinosis. I recall my SIL stating how a Brother in her Spanish congregation had contracted Trichi. from some undercooked pork and had suffered the side effects for several months (compromised immune system or something like that had made him weak beforehand) and how he was not as "Spiritual" afterwards. I held my tongue but felt like pulling hers out with my bare hands.

  OUTLAW hit the nail on the head. The WT is incredibly un-spiritual.

  I'm the EVS Manager at the hospital here in town. Whenever someone leaves that trash laying around I dispose of it promptly just the same as I do with cigarrette butts or empty beer cans.

  My son is having a birthday party today

  one of his friends can't come because his mother is a jw.

  i told my boy he shouldn't have said to the mother what kind of party it was.

  he's just having a few friends over for food and video gaming, something his friend has done before at other "worldly" kids' house along with my son.. there will be no beheadings at this party..
