How's everybody doing this evening? From what I gather, you folks are trying to get a real-life "aposta-fest" going on in OK. I am a newbie here, aposta-fest, I LOVE it!

You're right HL..bet there are lots of diversions downtown now. Hell, just about anything was a diversion to me at that time! About the only real entertainment at the whole damn convention was the dramas. I'm talkin about the ones where they had the full-on dress up action. Hated those "modern day" dramas, what a rip-off! Sometimes they would scare you into thinking it was a modern day drama by starting it up with the modern dress...then they would always have a "flash back" to biblical times. The dramas that were crap were the ones that never gave you the "flash back" payoff! I would wait through the whole thing for some dude in a beard and toga to come out...but alas. AHhhhh memories! You guys are great!

lol coulda been Shasta erynw...sounds about right. I'm not sure if they ever really had any rules about bringing your lunch. I know that we usually brought ours, but never had enough food to last the whole session out! I remember dad didn't really care if we ate during the talks, if we did it quietly. I always hated it when I needed to open a new Shasta...PPPPPPPPPPpppsssssssssttttttttt .lol

This will kinda date me...anyone remember when they used to serve up hot food at the DC in the Myriad? I used to love those bar-b-que sandwiches! They used to have grapes, soda (no real coke..just that off brand crap)...hell, it used to be like a picnic after the lunch break. Used to have to buy those coupons for food..couldn't pay cash for it (they probably didn't trust those lil bastards servin up the food with cash money, many years I was one of them!)
So they are having the DC's in the Lloyd Noble Center now huh? How do all the old folks get up and down those steps there? It's like climbing up a ladder in that place.

Thanks for the welcome BigD....I remember the Myriad well! Although I really wanted to stay seated to get the latest "meat" from the society...most of the time, I was out in the walkways chasing the "corridor cuties" lol.
At one convention, this must have been 87-88, we (meaning myself and other less than compliant JW associates) raised so much hell at the Skirvin Plaza Hotel, (anybody remember that?) they had a "special talk" the next day concerning our previous nights activities.
