Jah is greater than any religion. You don't need an organization to return to him. Anywhere anytime I can pray, and religion is a trap and a snare. So if you want true religion then have a drum circle! -

Thank you for redirecting me to the right organization!
by economy inthank you, jw.net and cofty, for redirecting me to the right organization!.
when i posted why did god permit scriptures to be corrupted?
then i thought, if there is an organization that believes all scriptures are corrupted (which obviously makes it enemy of all religions), that organization is not ordinary, but gutsy, lionhearted, and worthy of close examination!

My advocating of my old fellowship was intentionally pathetic and my use of the word cult was ironic. Brahma Kumar and Jehovah's Witnesses are bad for relationships as far as I can see. My brothers and sisters in the Twelve Tribes of Israel told me to put my marriage first. economy don't put a doctrine ahead of your relationship, and don't let talk of Armaggeddon interfere with your secular educuation (which is in an economic bubble but still generally worth it, especially in the STEM fields) and if your friends leave you because of your religion they weren't real friends, but if your religion tells you to choose between your religion and your family and friends, that religion isn't worth it. May you find enlightenment and joy on your spiritual journey economy. Just don't let yourself get pimped and don't burn your bridges. -

Bible Students Are NOW CONSIDERED JEHOVAHS WITNESSES
by Blackfalcon98 inoh my, while attending one of the boasting sessions.....an elder made reference to recent changes in watchtower terminology.
of these changes, he mentioned that bible students are now considered to be jehovah's witnesses!
this shocked me, so i was wondering have anyone else heard of this new change?

that may be the first and only ecumenical sentiment to come from an elder since before Judge Rutherford. -

Maybe intelligent design creationism is true in which case God likes planting false evidence everywhere just for kicks in which case the creator is not omni-benevolent and I would rather answer to God for being an evolutionist than a maltheist, even though I really identify with Jacob, because every religion needs a good trickster.
The now dead denomination of Zoroastrianism called Zurvanism taught that Father Time created the God of Righteousness (Ohrmazda) and the Devil (Ahriman). Ohrmazda was the Sacrifice involved to create the world, while Ahriman was the Doubt that he felt when he despaired that the world wasnt coming together. From the synergy of Sacrifice/ohrmazda/righteousness and Doubt/Ahriman/Evil the world was created. So while such a theology predates evolution in holding Time or By extension evolutionto be the supreme deity, it also associates Doubt and by extension the Scientific method with evil. Every tradition except the JWs hold Cyrus and the Three Wise men who were Zoroastrians to be righteous, while with the Jehovah's Witnesses, they are held to be instruments of Satan.

The Logisitcs of Destroying Organized Religion
by truthseeker inthey define babylon the great as the "world empire of false religion", and that jehovah god will use the united nations to turn on her.. .
the "keep on the watch" brochure says the following, regarding the destruction of babylon the great:.
"for our day, the bible forecasts that political governments, like a wild beast, will turn on "the harlot" and strip her naked, exposing her real .

The weird part of the gendercide is that men are emigrating from China, not just for the money or the freedom, but to find a wife. Expect more Black and Latino Chinese people in the world. Its going to be interesting how Chinese society reacts to miscegenation out of necessity. -

American Military Casualties in Africa
by fulltimestudent infrom one perspective this story is wildly amusing, if not for the fact that the three women involved were quite possibly desperately poor and only involved because they had the guts to stand up against community sanctions in an effort to feed their kids (that's a romanticised viewpoint, but it could be true).. the story is simple enough, three tough hell-raising american soldiers, involved in what some call "black ops," (i.e.
its all unofficial and never happened) have a night out, drinking enough whisky to float an air-craft carrier, and along with three 'bitches' that they shared bodies with during the night, come to an unfortunate end:.
sex, drugs, and dead soldiers .

Good Grief, they should just legalize and regulate prostitution with the military and have a special pleasure corps like the French Foreign Legion has. The religious right and the radical feminists would oppose it, but its better than this embarrassing bs. This is as bad as that secret service guy who thought he was Archer who didnt want to pay that Colombian prostitute.

The Rowland v. Christian case was used to arrive at the Conti decision... But should there have been a legal duty to prevent harm?
by defender of truth inthe factors of the rowland v. christian case were applied to arrive at the latest conti ruling, according to an article entitled 'in childhood sexual abuse case, california appellate court finds church has no duty to prevent its members from harming each other':"the sole basis for the punitive damages claim was the contention that the defendants failed to fulfill their duty of warning members of the congregation that the witness had molested a child.on appeal, the reviewing court found that the alleged duty to warn could not be justified on the basis of a special relationship because there is no authority for any such broad duty on the part of a church to prevent its members from harming each other.
the court also applied the factors of rowland v. christian to determine whether a duty existed..."www.jdsupra.com/legalnews/in-childhood-sexual-abuse-case-californ-19456/......now take a look at this:" california civil code section 1714 imposes a general duty of ordinary care, which by default requires all persons to take reasonable measures to prevent harm to others.
in the 1968 case of rowland v. christian, the court held that judicial exceptions to this general duty of care should only be created if clearly justified based on the following public-policy factors:*.the foreseeability of harm to the injured party;*.the degree of certainty he or she suffered injury;*.the closeness of the connection between the defendants conduct and the injury suffered;*.the moral blame attached to the defendants conduct;*.the policy of preventing future harm;*.the extent of the burden to the defendant and the consequences to the community of imposing a duty of care with resulting liability for breach;*.and the availability, cost, and prevalence of insurance for the risk involved.

I hope it goes to the Supreme Court and the Governing Body gets subpoenaed just to humiliate them. -

Put the "Thou shalt not commit logical fallacies" poster up in somewhere in the house and tell her for every logical fallacy she finds in the Awake magazine you'll pay her a quarter (or a dollar if you got it like that.) That way she will pay attention which will initially please your wife until she finds out what is going on. Then you can tell her that Awake just needs better writers who don't stoop to logical fallacies. Kind of like how I told my wife I want my kids to grow up to be JW lawyers so they can pimp the organization instead of the organization pimping them. I told my eldest you have to think for yourself whenever his mother isn't around. And for the most part he does, which is why he is so quiet at family bible study. I also told him to pay very close attention so that he can see the sophistry and logical fallacies, so that should he choose to not be a Jehovah's Witness he can say exactly why to his mother.
