it is not enough to be described with a few lines of explanation that paul’s doctrine is false, because this examination goes against the faith of the redemption doctrine, which cultivated by tertullian, augustine, calvin; and gave a source of power and enormous wealth for the church for many millennia.
however, hopefully readers could grasp the undeniable truth regarding original sin and redemption..

Original Sin is Characteristic of Western Christianity. Eastern Christianity teaches that we have a flawed nature, but not that we and our descendants are guilty from birth of Adam's sin. Island man, what you are saying sounds a lot like Gnosticism. You might have some interesting conversations with Mandean refugees fleeing Iraq. They are being persecuted for believing what you just articulated and being followers of John the Baptist but not Jesus. -

The Truth is not an ORG.....It's inside of you
by tor1500 inthe truth, the org is the truth...ummm...let's think about that...i was thinking that the bible is the truth & what it does is that it reveals the truth about you...the more you read the bible the more you may see yourself & your actions.
you may be a person who judges people, the bible will show you what's wrong with that...viola, another truth revealed about you.
you may be a prideful person, you read a story in the bible about that...again, it's another truth revealed about you.

Not just God is within us, but all the angels, all the demons, all the flawed characters in the greatest story ever told are within us. The Bible is a book of genocide, because there is a corruption within everybody that must be exterminated. by rebel8 inbecause there are culty orgs licking their chops at the prospect of recruiting new members under the guise of "helping" cult victims, and i could not find a decent online resource of organizations that provide free help with the financial/job exit issues, i wanted to do a piece on safe resources.. did i miss any?

by stuckinarut2 ina thought struck me...... the very generation (no pun intended) of people who the society is focussing so much attention on, that is the children, should not even be here!
(think caleb and sofia etc).
their parents, who are probably aged between 20 - 40 are the very generation too that should not be here if the societies strict guidance from the 70's and 80's was followed by their parents...ie to not have kids "because the end is soooooo close!".

When you can't discriminate against someone for their religion, and the chances of yielding to social pressure and returning to your old religion, why provide exit services? I'm starting to think that high control religions that keep losing lawsuits for mistreatment of their members should be required to provide exit funds in lieu of paying taxes. So let's say when you get disfellowshipped you have to be given $100 for every year you were in the religion. Look up some humanist associations. -

V-I Nigerians are superstitious. I lived in Ghana and the people in Accra were not superstitious or ignorant. In the village it's a different story, but That's the urban rural divide everywhere. Child Witches are the superstition of choice now in Nigeria.
