Jehovah Witnesses accept 2000 year old Scripture , yet reject writings of C.T.Russell the founder of the religion.of 136 years ago.?
by smiddy inis not this ironic ?
that they can claim to believe something that was written 2000 years ago and base their life and some cases their death on it , yet disown writings of the modern day founders of their religion such as c.t.russell , the so called first president of the i.b.s.a.
, later re-named jehovah witness.. and the same fate awaits the so called second president of now re-named jehovah witnesses ,if the writings ,books ,tracts ,etc .still exist in the library you sooner or later will be quizzed as to why you want to read them , it will be discouraged , and if you persist you will be brought before the elders .. so what are they afraid of people learning ?

They don't 'disown' their beginnings. They still believe the core teachings of Russell and Rutherford re mortal soul, no hell, no trinity, etc. Nevertheless, Russell and Rutherford would be disfellowshipped today if they were resurrected in the org and still preached what they preached back then. -

What a vile, repulsive organisation, unashamedly claiming to the end they had no duty to protect a child from a KNOWN paedophile all the way through this case.
They remain completely arrogant and unapologetic for what they've done and have put this poor woman through the mill legally. It wouldn't surprise me if their sheer hubris makes them appeal still, tormenting Candice even more. Even the Catholic Church is less arrogant on this.
Truly, "by their fruits you will recognise them". Can there be any more rotten fruitage than a religion that unrepentantly harms and causes deaths of infants and children by their morally blind and fanatical religious policies. .
I spit on the Watchtower leadership and their lawyers. Pure scum. I'm ashamed to have ever been a JW.

'great crowd' are in the temple (naos) but not in the new covenant???
by fukitol inin one of the biggest about-faces in watchtower history, in a 2002 question from readers it was admitted that the great crowd is indeed in the temple itself (naos) in revelation 7. .
but notice the statement bolded below from that article comparing the great crowd to the proselytes in ancient israel.
the statement is made that the proselytes "submitted to the law covenant.

So have all the numerous bits of 'new light' and doctrinal changes in recent years been 'admitting mistakes' Data-Dog? Don't be naive - the rank and file only see these things as 'new light' not 'mistakes'.
The Society has made so many changes relatively recently and nobody even blinks amongst the rank and file, eg, the new ludicrous overlapping generation teaching is unrecognizable from 20 years ago.
JW's will swallow anything as 'new light' from heaven with glee uncritically and without question as long as it's spun the right way.

"Life is SO HARD!!" The martyrdom and moaning of the April broadcast!
by stuckinarut2 inoh man!.
the april broadcast is so manipulative when it speaks about enduring.
the very premise makes witnesses feel burdened with a martyrdom and heavy hearted complex!

If Jehovah called all the ancient Israelite nation his 'witnesses', how can the great crowd be Jehovah's "Witnesses" when they're not a part of "spiritual Israel" (comprises the 144k only)?
If you study obscure JW theology, you'll discover that the 'other sheep' basically have no Christian status at all.
The Society actually teaches that the Bible was not technically written for the 'other sheep', that Jesus is not technically their mediator, and they are not technically even Christians.

In one of the biggest about-faces in Watchtower history, in a 2002 Question from Readers it was admitted that the great crowd is indeed in the temple itself (naos) in Revelation 7.
But notice the statement bolded below from that article comparing the great crowd to the proselytes in ancient Israel. The statement is made that the proselytes "submitted to the Law covenant."
The Insight on the Scriptures volume 1, p.72 on 'Alien Resident' makes the same point, that these proselytes were effectively the same as any other member of 'the congregation of Israel':
“The terms of the Law covenant allowed for persons of all national backgrounds to come into membership of the congregation of Israel by accepting the true worship of Jehovah and becoming circumcised … The alien resident who had become a circumcised worshiper was bound to one law with the Israelites, that is, to obey all the terms of the Law covenant.” Insight on the Scriptures, Volume 1 p.72, ‘Alien Resident’.
The logical conclusion is that the great crowd must likewise be in the new covenant, as spiritual members the same Christian 'congregation', just as those ancient alien residents became actual members of the congregation of Israel and were literally included in the old covenant.
great crowd and 144k = both in the naos, the temple
great crowd and 144k = all 'domestics'.
great crowd and 144k = both in the new covenant, as both the Israelites and alien residents were in the old covenant.
NEW LIGHT to this effect is all the Society needs to announce to solve the worsening dilemma of increasing numbers of partakers at each memorial. They can announce that all those who believe they are prospective members of the great crowd may also now take the emblems to signify they are also in the new covenant, BUT only in the sense of being like an alien resident or proselyte also in the old law covenant, and ONLY in the sense of standing in the earthly courtyard of the temple not in the inner sanctuary reserved only for the 144k. Such new light would also make sense since they recently announced that both the anointed and other sheep are all domestics .
Members of the great crowd exercise faith in Jesus' ransom sacrifice. They are spiritually clean, having "washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb." Hence, they are declared righteous with a view to becoming friends of God and of surviving the great tribulation. (James 2:23, 25) In many ways, they are like proselytes in Israel who submitted to the Law covenant and worshiped along with the Israelites.
Of course, those proselytes did not serve in the inner courtyard, where the priests performed their duties. And members of the great crowd are not in the inner courtyard of Jehovah's great spiritual temple, which courtyard represents the condition of perfect, righteous human sonship of the members of Jehovah's "holy priesthood" while they are on earth. (1 Peter 2:5) But as the heavenly elder said to John, the great crowd really is in the temple, not outside the temple area in a kind of spiritual Court of the Gentiles . What a privilege that is! And how it highlights the need for each one to maintain spiritual and moral purity at all times!" Watchtower 2002 May 1 pp.30-31 -

I'm an ABSENTHEIST. Are you also?
by EdenOne init just dawned on me.
the existence of god can't be proved, neither is there evidence of god's inexistence.
so, i'm neither theist neither atheist.

Sorry, not you Cofty, I mean EdenOne is the sophist. Or I should say AssholeOne, who continues to plagiarise popular agnosticism and can't concede his silly coined 'absentheism' is the same as popular agnosticism.
Neither can he admit the obvious: that something cannot be 'absent' unless that something first exists. Ie, absent is the opposite of 'present'. Unless his definition of 'God' includes the mere notion or fantastical idea of a 'God', in which case we must concede that 'God' has, as a notion or desired concept, never been absent'.
But unfortunately there's not the slightest proof or evidence that any deity or God has ever been 'present' in man's affairs except in people's imagination, and in certain ancient scripture as a deliberate literary fabrication.

The murderous, criminal GB need to be brought before the International Criminal Court for offences against humanity. Just like all the murderous, cowardly, pig-ignorant, loser Muslim males currently ruining the lives of generations of Syrian innocent women and children.
One day, in the far, far, future, the human race will not tolerate such barbarity in the name of religion anymore.
Death to religion.
