to worlds (danish movie) about JW
by pallemar ina new danish movie have premier today in the danish theathers.. it is about a young girl, and her life inside jw and her relations ship with her boy friend.. and all the conflikt this gives her.
i hope the movie will somehov be translatet to english.

The Borg's Current Take On The King of the North
by Rapunzel inreading aleman's intelligent and erudite posts in regard to prophecies and other things biblical got me to thinking and prompted me to ask the following question - just what is the watchtower bible and tract society's current [as of this month, february 2008] interpretation on the identity of the wicked witch king of the north?
when i was in - many moons ago in the late 1970's - the king of the north was depicted, if my memory serves me correctly, as the soviet union.
but as the expression goes, s*** happens.

I don't know the official answer, but I have heard speculation that they wont know until it comes to its end with no helper. This is much easier than trying to predict things ahead of time (although the WTS has also had its problems with retrodictions).

Science is like the WTBTS...(always coming out with New Light)
by journey-on inscience has tried over the centuries to explain human existence, cosmology, and the nature of life.. at any given time in history, any number of theories have been postulated and the masses accepted them.
as fact because some great scientist came up with it and was able to baffle us/them with mathematical.
equations to "prove" it so.

by jamiebowers indoes anyone remember the ban on life cereal, because it was supposed to contain blood?
i've ben disfellowshipped for more than 20 years, so it's been quite a while since i heard this.
did anyone hear this?

I remember a book study when we were asked to comment on local products that might contain blood. People went on and on talking about all sorts of rumors they heard. I recall chocolate ice cream and postage stamps were mentioned.
