the court documents indicate that the $28 million is to come from the following sources;.

kendrick (perpetrator) 60% = $16.8 million.

wtb&ts of ny 27% = $7.56 million.

I believe that was the division percentages of the original $7,000,000 compensatory damages. I thought I heard that the entire $21,000,001 punitive damages was owed by the Watchtower Society.

i just checked twitter and the story is picking up tremendously there.. many people only get their news from twitter now.. i encourage you to use twitter, you can do this anonymously.. rt (return the stories) get familiar with twitter if you are not already.. it's a wonderful format for spreading the news.. many activist will see this and spread the story that have many followers.... the time to do this is now, before the story gets too old.

I've done some research and it appears that it would be pretty difficult to get an actual trending topic on Twitter. Part of the problem is that you need a lot of different people tweeting about the topic. It's not enough to have a few people tweeting repeatedly.

There is still a lot that we can do by tweeting and retweeting these news stories. One day we might get lucky and have a news item really take off. It's already happening with this latest case. It just hasn't been enough to trend yet.

I would love to hear the conversations among the Witnesses themselves. I'm sure some think that it could be a beginning of persecution against them, so they will want to talk about it. There will be a lot of cognitive dissonance, but it has to be difficult to spin this in a positive way.

i just checked twitter and the story is picking up tremendously there.. many people only get their news from twitter now.. i encourage you to use twitter, you can do this anonymously.. rt (return the stories) get familiar with twitter if you are not already.. it's a wonderful format for spreading the news.. many activist will see this and spread the story that have many followers.... the time to do this is now, before the story gets too old.

"We should all agree a hash tag. How about #JWscandal ? Then it could really trend."

#JWscandal is a great hashtag. I think #JW is also good for any JW related tweet. It's very short so there will usually be room for other hashtags too.

I think the best phrase for a trending topic would be Jehovah's Witnesses. There are already a lot of tweets with that phrase, so it might be possible to have it show up on Twitter as a trending topic. If it becomes an official trending topic, it could really explode. (I don't know how hard it is to do that, but if we work together it might be possible.) We can still use hashtags along with the phrase Jehovah's Witnesses so that people can click on it and see the other tweets with that hashtag.

I've been trying to do my part. It's not hard to retweet other stories if you don't feel like composing your own tweet.

It might be fun to try to organise a time to get Jehovah's Witnesses to be a trending topic and talk about the lawsuit, Sparlock and anything else that is interesting. I noticed that a lot of people mention Jehovah's Witnesses when they get woken up on Saturday morning, so that might be a good time to do it.

We could schedule some tweets for Saturday morning and also send messages to those who are complaining about the Witnesses waking them up. We could mention articles about how to get on their do not call list or start a petition asking Jehovah's Witnesses to stop sending sexual predators to people's doors.
