I don't want to start rumors, but I recall a time when I was a kid and was paging through some old bound volumes. I came across an article about Isaac Newton that discussed his interest in religion and how he didn't believe in the Trinity. My memory is kind of fuzzy, but I seem to recall that there was a statement that indicated he may have been of the anointed. I haven't been able to find that article since then. Does anyone remember reading this? If that statement exists, it would have probably been edited out of the CD ROM since it would be pretty embarrassing to the society in view of his interest in alchemy and other unflattering historical details about his life.

Do Jehovah's Witnesses have to start over?
by DT in"and this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.
" -matthew 24:14 what is the good news?
i used to think that it was that jesus became king in 1914 and that he would destroy this system before the generation that saw 1914 passed away.

"And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come." -Matthew 24:14 What is the good news? I used to think that it was that Jesus became king in 1914 and that he would destroy this system before the generation that saw 1914 passed away. Well, there have been a few changes since then. Now they have another new understanding of the word generation. It only makes sense that the good news has to be true. How could people be judged unrighteous for not embracing a lie? Even if this new understanding were true, they would have to preach it to the entire world before the end could come. Their earlier efforts could hardly count towards fulfilling Matthew 24:14 if they weren't preaching the real good news of the kingdom. If they get new light in the future, then they would have to start all over again. No wonder the end hasn't come yet! Most of us know that the 1914 prophecy is based on faulty chronology. If I were still a witness, I think I would wait until they got that straightened out before I bothered pounding on any more doors.

I haven't been visiting this forum for long, but it appears that a good number of us make music. It might be fun to have a community
site for our music. If there is enough interest in this, I would be willing to put it together, assuming someone else doesn't want the "privilege".
If I did it, I would probably do something like this: I would set up a community blog and invite those who are interested to be contributors. The musicians
would then make a post for each of their songs with a description. They could then either embed a music player or link to their music. The contributors
would also get a link in the sidebar to their personal site, Myspace page, etc. If they don't have a site the link could be for their profile page. The site
could also be used to promote cd's, concerts, etc.It would be pretty easy to subscribe to this blog with something like Google reader in order to receive a steady supply of ex-JW music. It might be a couple
of months before I could put this together, but I'm interested in what you think about the idea. -

What a great illustration to demonstrate the pointlessness of the field circus or any activity in that organisation.

A conversation I had with a JW on Youtube
by B_Deserter inthis is all centered around my video, what you should know about jehovah's witnesses, found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hosvzb-ubxk .
abc123jan says: who says i dont respect peoples right to express themselves?

Great video. It may seem pointless to talk to some of these people. However, even if they seem stubborn, they have already rebelled against the authority of the governing body by talking to you. You helped this person take a first step towards apostasy and the truth. Hopefully, he will realise it someday.

DT, do you live in Florida? Do they have mold in other states?
I live in Minnesota and have noticed the problem in many halls here and in nearby states. In addition to climate, I think some of the moisture comes from a lot of people breathing in a poorly ventilated building. (There's a lot of hot air at the meetings) It has also been suggested that once one hall gets toxic mold it's likely to spread to the other halls in the area on the clothes of visitors where it will likely have a suitable environment for growth.

We could learn the truth about Lot spawning two nations with his daughters. I suspect that it was just Israelite propaganda.
