its such pure and unadulterated douche that i wish i could bottle it and use just a drop of it at a time.. the back story on this is that a girl named olga was out with her friends in the marina district of san francisco (known for being a popular hang out for douches), and she talked to this guy named dmitri for all of two minutes.

They really are whacked out, aren't they ? They have just enough "sense" to realize they have to come up with some sort of nonsensical crap to keep the rest of the JW's knocking on doors where no one is ever home.
"Yeah, we know we used to say that doing empty houses was a waste of time but..uh...we...um... just got a memo that that's cool ! Yeahhh, that's the ticket ! And the angels are watching and stuff.Yeah, that's it ! a couple have returned to my congregation who used to be special pioneers here twenty years ago.

To be honest, when I first read this thread...I thought it was a joke.Maybe it is and the "Fooled Ya !!! " will come later.At any rate, I don't mean to be rude by saying this-- but it sounds like emotion is completely overriding rational thought.I have noticed lately in a number of posts that you indeed have a yearning to go back, so do what you need to do
However, since you created this thread you're obviously looking for others take on the subject, so I'll be honest.I really can't see how someone could spend so much time here and after seeing all of the devastation that this cult has done, and continues to do, while lying through its teeth, would want to go back to it ? Especially, referring to it as the "truth".Do we really need to go through the long laundry list of how severely this org has affected people ?
Shunning of children and others because of some misstep ? Kicking people out of Bethel after encouraging them to take a vow of poverty and give up everything and go there,removing elders because of having a child go to college,Shun others, including their own family members-even though it may cause them to become suicidal, let their children die because of not taking blood,disfellowship those for not agreeing with their religious leaders, don't celebrate holidays, birthdays,etc.,or honor they're parents because it's "pagan",allow child molesters in the cong. without informing anyone but will publicly mark someone for such "questionable" behavior as telling others they watch rated R movies or listening to the wrong music ,don't plan for retirement because the end has been "just around the corner" for over 100 years,commend people for selling their businesses and homes to spend more time knocking on doors,ban beards,disfellowship a woman for wearing a pantsuit in "service",disfellowship a married couple for what they privately do in their bedroom,tell people what to think,wear,and act,claim that they're God's sole channel on earth and that everyone who isn't a JW will die, and and a plethora of other things which they fully support and give power to.This is the "truth" ? And it's "exciting" ? I'm not sure the real question is about going back, because you probably never really left.Once again, I'm not trying to be mean here, just honest.Sometimes we all need a boot back to reality once in a while.

What animals do you have ? I do have another take on this.Giving them to a good home is sadly no guarantee that they will actually be in a "good home".As weird as it might sound, their currently limited environment, may very well be preferable to them being with someone else as they begin to view YOU as a companion as much as you view them in that way.I have a client that puts the dogs in the cage before she leaves and they just get used to it.They go to sleep and seem fine and well adjusted.On the other hand when a pet is given away to someone else they also get depressed and emotional when they're no longer with their owner.Perhaps you're more upset than they are ? Maybe you can make some adjustments to your schedule to be home more ?

I think the Mormon's are considerably more mainstream and open minded that JW's.For instance, they celebrate holidays, birthdays, etc, get involved in politics, enter the military, encourage education-they have their own University,accept blood,have succesful careers, etc.Some have even been on Survivor.

I made some comments that involved this some time back, I'll paste them here:
Obviously, mankind, both as a society and as individuals, just doesn't seem to have what it takes to please God.The first man ever made , Adam, "screwed up", so he killed him..The first woman ever, "screwed up", so he killed her..One of the top angels (and his buddies)screwed up, so he's gonna kill all of them.The preflood descendants of Adam screwed up, so he killed them....and kicked in the innocent animals as a bonus. God's chosen people screwed up, so he killed them.The world today is in opposition to God as well, so he's gonna kill all of us.Does this guy create anything he doesn't get pissed off at and kill ? Might I put a note in the suggestion box to stop making stuff that screws up so you don't have to kill it ? Or how about just not acting like a dick and having impossible standards ? Which brings us back to the original thread about being judged unfairly.
Really, it looks like God plain ol' just doesn't care.His word says he's "opening his hand and satisfying the desire of every living thing" yet, that's obviously not the case.And if all of God's work is perfect and good,then that means that since they didn't sin, he must have made them that way.He made them so that they get cancer, go blind,starve,get painful loathsome diseases and otherwise suffer.Sounds like a really great guy.
Oh...and while we're at it.He told Adam and Eve they would die.But he let them live, condemned their children to death and as a bonus he gave all future women greatly increased birth pain and decided to curse the ground just for the hell of it.Doesn't sound like such a happy god after all.
