If he's so insecure about his religion why is he wasting his time preaching it? Sounds like an extreme case of denial to me.

Bottom Line: What's Going To Happen To The Jehovah's Witness Religion?
by minimus inis it going to become mainstream?.
will it become more cultish?.
will it splinter off and re-create itself?.

Well, as time goes on people's belief in it starts to fade more and more. One, due to the increasing amount of evidence being added up against them. Two, because they keep going on and on about armageddon coming soon but I don't see no Mount Megiddo. :D

WATCHTOWER to adopt new rule

I'm really started to think that Witnesses hate freedom. Witnesses say that He gave us the wonderful ability of free will. In their opinion, this means that you do what He says or you are blown off the face of the earth. Yep, there's alot of point in having free will if you can't use it, isn't there?

JWs and narcissism
by Hortensia ini've been thinking about this for a while, so was surprised to see another poster start a thread about narcissism just when i was going to do so.
however, his thread isn't really the same as what i had in mind.
i was thinking about the jw belief that jehovah, jesus, all the angels, satan and all the demons and the entire world are watching their entire lives, every single move.

I find it strange the way they brag about the smallest of things they do. How often do you see a witness doing a duty for a so called 'worldly' person? They only do things for each other as they want to look like they are the most perfect. If I'm talking rubbish, it's because I've been going to meetings without posting on here so my brains started to turn into jelly.

German Child Molester in Prison Wants to Become Jehovah's Witness
by GermanXJW inas germany's main tabloid reports, a child abuser who has a 15-years-sentence for 105 rapes wants to become a jw:.
http://www.bild.t-online.de/bild/news/vermischtes/2007/12/17/mederake/hg-mederake-jehova,geo=3295462.html.
mederake wants to become "jehovah's witness" .

The most ridiculous thing is, he will be accepted by the witnesses with open arms because he "repented". How could anyone rape 105 people and suddenly think, "Oh maybe I shouldn't have raped those poor, defenceless victims after all; who would have thought?"

Describe Your Sense of Humor
by minimus ini think posting on a discussion board can tend to come across in a certain way, personality wise.. i'm the type of person "in real life" that is usually considered quite funny.
i have a very quick wit and i can usually disable someone rather quickly with a facial expression, smile or definitive body language.
of course, you can't see those things here but you might notice a person's humor (or lack of it) by how they post.. so what tickles your funny bone?

I am apparently quite witty, (my mummy tells me so!) and I like dry humour, sometimes sarcasm, irony, really, really stupid characters in films, cartoons, (yes, I watch them) and other TV shows and when someone complains about something true in life in a funny way. I'll update if I can remember anything else. (I have noticed that the humour I have told you about is quite sadistic which worries me a little. )

Biase and exaggeration are the perfect tools to form an interesting program, so don't believe everything you hear. (By the way, I'm not implying that you did believe everything it said, just simply pointing out that you shouldn't just incase. )

A fair and reasonable question for Jehovah's Witnesses
by Gregor inyour organization has always been intently focused on "witnessing" and this includes going right up to strangers homes, knocking on their door attempting to engage them in a discussion of their beliefs.
you come prepared to point out the error of whatever faith they hold.
doctrines such as immortality of the soul, the trinity and eternal torment in hell you declare as false teachings and can back up your assertions with scriptures and skilled argument.

Not all witnesses do that. But to the ones that do; they like to stand out and show off about how much more "realistic" and "truthful" their religion is, and because their religion is so "truthful" they cover their ears and start screaming if you mention anything that threatens its existence.
Oh and welcome to JWD!

2008 and still no Armagedon!!! I feel like I made an "Ass of myself"
by Witness 007 inyes sitting in pizza hut in 1991 a small band of pioneer brothers {me and friend's} debated when armagedon would come.
due to the "generations" doctrine, we calculated 2001 at the latest...then the doctrine was dropped!!!
recently the last world war 1 vetran died in australia.

The witnesses change the date of Armagedon so frequently. It might be because He has so many appointments on armagedons he keeps rescheduling ours.
