  How have you benefited by leaving the WT Organization?

  this is just a curious study.

  i would love to get everyone's input on how each individual or couple has benefited from leaving the jw/wtbs as well as how their life is currently vs. being part of the organization.. eyes wide open .

  looking back over the posts of the last few weeks by some, i really am embarrased over the amount of time i spent going door to door.

  we all imagined and then knew what the house holder must have been saying about us.

  So, now that we all know what we were doing, we say the same thing about some here. "Here they are again, preaching to us."

  I suppose to call these new ones as STUPID is rather a harsh thing to say. I guess I would just say that they are SLOW. Slow to catch on as to just WHO we really are these days. NOT INTERESTED!!!!!

  I perform a ritual every day. I get up, shower, shave, brush my teeth, drink my coffee, take my vitamins, feed the dogs, feed the fish, smoke 3 cigarettes make the bed, start the dishwasher and go to work. Not necessarily in that order, but that's my ritual.

  My daily constitution calls at some point during all of that.

  It's very important to me that I do this every day.

  My JW Daughter Calls Me - First Time in 9 Months - Great Conversation !

  as many of you know , me and my fading 23 year old son have been trying to reach out to my polite 21 year old jw daughter .

  sending cards, letters , phone calls just to let her know we love her, miss her , and remind her of good family times we've had in the past !

  not being pushy - just being authentic with her !

  Good morning all....through the course of realone's career here at JWD, by his own admission he says that he is rather SLOW at times. Granted, we have known many people who are SLOW, emotionally, intellectually and psychologically. Ok, so for that reason I will back off in my attacks on him. I have come to realize that he is well intended with his faith. His direction at this point in his life is to try and convert anyone and everyone to his new found or existing faith.

  You have to admit though, that at some point in this person's life, he came into contact with jw's. Thus, his entrance into our realm here at JWD. What a better place to preach than at a site filled with what he THOUGHT were JW's!!!

  However, due to his ADMITTED handicap of being slow, he just doesn't get the point that we, as EX JW's could care less about being preached to nor that we are at concerned about eternal damnation. Friends, I have come to the conclusion that he's like a FRUIT FLY, you just can't get rid of them. You swat at them and they just somehow manage to AVOID you. Like realone's avoiding answering direct questioning on points of doctrine.

  He's very sincere in what he's doing, but just DOESN'T GET US!!!!

  How did you spend the memorial?

  personally, i stayed at home (my wife went), made steaks, drank beer, and watched several vulgar/demonic movies in the world of the jw's (halloween, the eye, hitman, no country for old men, saw iv).

  i later went over to my mother in laws house to meet up with some other in laws - who i saved from the jw's - and talked about how the memorial was a waste of f@cking time... then drank more beer waiting for my wife to come back...

  My Memorial Experience

  first of all i noticed that this just seemed like another meeting.

  when we drove in we had people parking us in strange ways, not to mention that the amount of cars there was just as many as a highly attended sunday meeting and we do fine then when we have no one to park us.

  they had more seats set out and there were no new ones just people who had not come in awhile.
