Thanks for sharing your visit with this talented lady with us, Terry. I was a young girl when Peggy was in her prime, and I remember this song. As a child growing up as a JW, I had no dreams, goals, expectation of surprises and a golden life. So I had already reached, at that young age, the realization that this was going to be "all there is." And that was not, even then, enough for me. This song is even sadder for me now, because I am probably more than 2/3rds of the way through my life, and I am very aware that on my deathbed I don't want to have the regrets that cause me to ask if this is all there is to life. *sigh*

I Didn't Belong
by Nihilistic Journey ini remember an art project when i was six years old.
the teacher handed out felt pine trees that we glued to burlap sheets.
everyone then attached little pieces of colorful material to the felt trees.

I'm so sorry NJ, for the times in your life that have been so rough. You are not alone anymore, and now you DO BELONG---to us! (If it's any consolation, so many of us have been through the same things, and other stuff as well, so we truly do get it.) -

Oh Sail Away...thanks for sharing your adorable Stanley with us. But, I don't see what the problem is...I'm 65, have OCD, forget OTHER people's names at times, and don't answer when I don't want to be bothered either. Stanley and I have just learned to "tune out the noise." lol

Retire. According to the May 1969 Awake, I wasn't supposed to graduate in "this system." But I did---one month later. I also got married, had 2 children, owned 2 houses and 2 co-op apartments, divorced, survived through tough times, became a grandma twice,, learned TTATT and got out! -

Courtesy Towards Senior Bicyclists, or First Time Riding in 45 Years!
by compound complex ingreetings, fellow posters:.
i bought a nearly new 7-speed bicycle at a yard sale for $30 last weekend and took it out this morning on our paved local bicycle/walking trail.
the last time i rode was in my early- to mid- twenties when i used a bicycle to get to and from the kh for my pioneer service.

The idea of so many "mature" posters bike-riding makes me happy that I am not alone. Since I don't like standard exercise but I loved bike-riding as a kid, I thought I would get a bike when I move to another state soon. I have been influenced by my son and DIL, who are semi-pros (participate in races, have a "team", build their own bikes, etc.), but I will only be able to tool around town for fun. It is encouraging that you don't forget how to do it even if, like me, you haven't done it in about 40 years. (Wish me luck as I start slowly...) -
