Vote issue stumbled studying work colleage

it is my opinion everyone has the choice to follow jw path if they choose.

what angers me is that half the time, people don't realise what they are getting themselves into.

my work college had been studying for quite a while.

i have, since my departure, developed a counter to the "when you vote for someone
you are responsible for all their decisions in office" with this: then YOU must be responsible
for the molestation of children when the WTS shuffles pedophiles to different congregations
without warning parents AND are responsible for the suicides linked to the policy of shunning...
after all, you continue to promote this religion with door to door proselytizing.....

Saturday night in the sticks.Unfathomably Bored.Any advice?

ok,so its saturday night here in west orangepeel,sticksville.been waiting for a storm all day that didnt come.no one is around,cept the same ol same ol.they are as tired of me as i am them.dont have tv,just internet.got netflix coming out of my pores,as well as you tube and little britian reruns..what sare you all up to tonight in babylon?.

mostly i want to go to bed
but if i go this early and get
up before 6, then it will be
2 hours before daylight!

Will I ever break free from primitive JW thinking?

i had an extremely disturbing thought this morning.

here's the story (or "experience" for jw readers):.

all week i had been waiting for pay day.

i hear ya!

we got a bill for my son's healthcare that
was not covered by insurance ... $495!!
right after we had paid propety taxes and
quarterlies..... no way we could cover it

then out of the blue i got a SWEET offer
to drive shuttle for out of town guests
and drunks for a wedding on jan 1

$500 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i told a friend of mine:
it is times like this i miss having a god to thank!!

but, i sent it out to the universe, that joy and delight,
in the possibility that somewhere, stars aligned for me!!! ;-)

Study Reports That Circumcision Helps Stop Wart Virus

(reuters) - researchers have documented yet another health benefit for circumcision, which can protect men against the aids virus, saying it can protect their wives and girlfriends from a virus that causes cervical cancer.. wives and girlfriends of circumcised men had a 28 percent lower rate of infection over two years with the human papilloma virus or hpv, which causes warts and cervical cancer, they reported in the lancet medical journal on thursday.. "our findings indicate that male circumcision should now be accepted as an efficacious intervention for reducing the prevalence and incidence of hpv infections in female partners.

however, protection is only partial; the promotion of safe sex practices is also important," dr. maria wawer and colleagues at johns hopkins university in baltimore wrote.. wawer's team piggybacked the hpv study onto a larger study that has shown circumcised men are less likely to be infected with the human immunodeficiency virus that causes aids.. "we enrolled hiv-negative men and their female partners between 2003 and 2006, in rakai, uganda," they wrote in their report in the lancet medical journal.. they were able to get details on hpv infections for nearly 1,000 of the women, all identified by men as long-term sex partners such as wives.

I'm going to end my "bible" study

i posted a while back, i've been studying with a nice jehovas witness lady for probably about 6 months.

after a few weeks i googled a few things (earthquakes, how long we've been on earth, ect.

) i realised she was very misinformed.

mate, thank her for opening your eyes
to other "interpretations" of the bible
and send her away...

you will be old news before you know it...
yeah she will be disappointed that she
had a very lively prospect on the line but
couldnt land quite get the k00l-aid up to
your mouth... and then you are just another
story they will tell when they need to feel
like they really do have some sort of special
prominence in the turning of the world....

go enjoy having an engaged brain!!

did you ever tell the elders that you knew of "wrongdoing" or that you knew a certain person wasn't adhering to the rules?.

my eldest son, a UBP, once caught an elder smoking!!

this "zealous" man said to my then 16 YO son
"no need to say anything about this, right?"

and my son, totally dedicated to leading a
double life, told him "i dont give a shit what
you do or dont do... the religion is bullshit"

i heard this story YEARS after the fact, and
rejoiced that i have kids smarter than i was!

also, i'm eating the best peanut butter sandwich i ever had.. no jelly, just good old-fashioned peanut butter.

the meanest gnarliest whole wheat bread, toasted....
any chunky peanut butter that has a single word
for its ingredient list ( i HATE salt) and seedless
black raspberry jam....

THAT is my version of the best PBJ sandwich........... EVAR!
