  Trashed WT's found in Dr.s' waiting room Friday. Do you trash literature you find?

  took the magazines in the waiting room and dumped them in the trash.

  was a great feeling.

  to think many witnoids wont dare throw out the surplus magazines they have in stacks around the house is amazing.

  at one point i actually had an ink stamp that basically urged the reader to check jwfacts.com before agreeing to study with JWs... but i also dispose of any publications i encounter in public

  No Memorial invitation for us :)

  this morning as my husband and i were backing out of our garage to head out to the farmers market a jw was walking up our walkway with his invitation.

  he didn't see us and we didn't rocongnize him but a brother and sister we knew well actually looked our way.

  we decided not to bother and went our way to enjoy a lovely morning picking out fresh fruit and vegetables knowing when we got home the invitation would be stuffed in our door.

  a friend, an "unbeliever" i actually met whilst still in the cult, called to say the JWs were passing out invitations in town ( i live on the outskirts, and as an aside, we hosted book study and mtgs for FS for over a decade)

  i told her i wouldnt be getting one because i have hung out the "no trespassing" sign... what i lovingly call my easter decoration...

  i am vocal visible apostate with a transgender kid i support publicly and i am getting HUGGED in public by an active witness; WHY??

  my initial withdrawal from the cult about 5 years ago or so, was as a fader, but now there is no doubt i am so over the cult, having publicly sat on the board of the local pflag chapter!

  my bumper stickers declare don't believe everything you think and stop the violence; legalize marijuana (also a generic pflag sticker)... i am out and i aint coming back and i denounce the cult as a cult, i never call it anything else... .

  today at the local food co-op a congregant saw me and bee-lined it over to hug me!

  thanks, JWDers for the insights...

  i actually felt blindsided by her actions, since when i left the cult, it was with the understanding i was a rotting corpse to those who once called me sister....

  i guess i will never know her motivation because i have no intention of engaging with any of the cult members, unless they start the conversation with "i left..."

  hope the upcoming season of whoop is good to all of you

  when we were in, there were about 85 members, from several small towns.... so everyone knows everyone's business

  maybe blondie is right, maybe she is on the verge of an awakening...

  i dont really know what her motive was... more and more often, i realize i cannot think of the names of people i spent nearly 20 years associating with... i have not been keeping track of anyone's comings and goings... so i dont know who is in, who is faking, and who walked out the door for good

  it is just downright bizarre to me that someone who knows where i live (we hosted bookstudy for 10 years, still in the same house) but hasnt said anything to me in 5 years is suddenly glad to see me.... (i did not return the sentiment)

  Today at the local food co-op a congregant saw me and bee-lined it over to HUG ME! SHE HUGGED ME IN PUBLIC and whispered in my ear "it is GOOD TO SEE YOU!"....

  i have had the brief nod or mouthed hello in public settings before, from a variety of the local congregants but this is over the top

  why am i not on the shit list??? i earned it!!!

  you are totally ignoring an important subject.

  we haven't had one fucking decent discussion of dr. who in at least a year!!!.

  aha! hit like a ton of bricks when my youngest child revealed his concerns about his gender expression ...

  i came to the realization that i could cling to the convoluted paroxysms of mangled interpretations of a nomadic desert culture's mythology as "gospel" .... or i could support my son through one of the most courageous human endeavors imaginable... totally dropped the penny for me...

  i left believing but was lucky enough to end up here and have the scales drop from my brain!
