  Any interesting wildlife where you live?

  i never used to see much for interesting wildlife until i moved into my house 3 years ago.

  i've seen some neat stuff.

  there's lots of woodpeckers around here.

  lots of woodland creatures as i live on the edge of a national forest in a county that is 80% forested.

  i dont think a week goes by that i dont see a bald eagle.... 2 weeks back i saw 6 PLUS ( rare sighting) a golden eagle feeding on carcass

  deer out the @ss!! nuisance nuisance nuisance ( and that is them thinking about humans)

  black bear ( garbage mongers!!) skunks ( see bear) racoon ( see bear/skunk) coyote ( see bear/skunk/racoon)

  foxes and timber wolves but pretty uncommon

  red squirrels, grey squirrels, ground squirrels, chipmunks ( rats with fashion tails, the lot of them)

  snowy owls, barred owls, pilated woodpeckers ( actually had one this week fly so low i could hear its wing flaps!)

  painted turtles, box turtles, snakes, frogs, toads, newts

  swans, loons, canada geese ( total p00pmeisters), mallards, mergansers, coots, cormorants

  salmon, lake trout, plus all manner of lake/river game fish incl walleye and northerns

  enough!! yes we have wildlife!

  loving multiples is about being friends with people who are did, what used to be called multiple personality disorder.

  what is disordered, what is askance, what is forever damnable is the reason these splendiferous souls are so fragmented....... the horrific abuse foisted on them by the souless perversions of humanity that harmed them to their very cores, and beyond.

  my beloved (((((snicks))))), a gorgeous junoesque brit with the flaming red hair of her norse ancestors, towering above me at 6 feet, whose inner system populates a castle... i had the rare and distnctive privilege of naming her 18 yo alter, she who held the music, who used her age as her designation as she felt undeserving of even a name to be known by ...... her 3 and 5 yos who sat with me on the parlour floor and learned to make balloon animals.... the 10 yo keeper of anger, the worst assignment in the system, because there is rarely ever peace for them in the swirl of chaos and upheaval that is the toxic residue of their moment of creation...... the sweet 8 yo who remained hidden for years even after the others were found.... who cried because i was leaving and she had not been "out" to meet me...... you cannot begin to know the joy i had seeing her laugh while i read her a book and did all the voices and animal sounds.

  aSphereisnotaCircle.... i have thought about your post too.... and it occurred to me that the humane thing to have done for this young woman would have been to invalidate/delete her baptism due to the extenuating factors of mental health issues which effectively removes the JW label..... instead of fueling an already raging fire with their "loving provision" to keep the congregation clean by telling her she is an unrepentant sinner....

  i mean come on!!! three grown, supposedly intellignet, men would have had to "interview" her somewhat in depth to determine her fitness for baptism..... did not ONE of them actually SEE her?!?!

  Ozzie's Weekend Poll #160 - Why no windows?

  it seems a long time ago now, but we used to regularly have an ozzie's weekend poll - kinda weekend stuff, y'know?

  they ran weekly for three years but they faded - my ill health didn't help.

  anyway, it's sunday evening downunderneath youse lot and things seem to be kinda quiet on the board - (where the hell are ya???

  i am going with "cheaper" in terms of construction AND vandalism costs of repair.... i was at 2 different KHs, one in houston, tx and the other in auckland, nz that had security fencing around the parking lots because of the level of vandalism .... the one in auckland had a keypad by a motorized gate to access parking.... IF ya had the "code" ( hmmmm 1914? 607?)

  Your dying, you are given one last wish, and that is ....

  my mother in law was diagnosed with breast cancer in october.

  had the surgery and they found it metastized to the lungs.

  she is doing chemotherapy now, but the cancer is spread pretty wide and thus an organization called making memories has given her a one last wish grant of $6000.

  i was eating lunch with 3/4 of my active jw family earlier today and they were bemoaning the idea that they were going to have to leave the central oklahoma area very early tomorrow morning to find a room so they could attend an assembly on the otherside of the state.

  they had tried calling the 'approved' hotels and motels in the town where the assembly is being held and they were all booked.

  so that left them looking at the rest of the approved list and having to travel as much as 50 miles away to get a room.

  Another funny thing is the society gives strict counsel about not going to any of the food places, even the coffee carts, within the arena. Here people are traveling, do not have kitchens in hotel rooms, and they are not to use the convenience of the local merchants because it takes away from "socializing with the brotherhood" during the session breaks.

  this happened in the rochester minn DCs, where a series of skywalks connected the convention site to hotels and malls with food courts... the first year i missed convention, an elderly sister told me that the society was really cracking down on the ones who ignored the direction to stay in the convention center!!

  they had "attendants" taking names of individuals who had the temerity to buy a cuppa in the mall!! she justified it saying that the R&F had to be trained to obey so as not to risk getting as far as the big A and dying because of not following a seemingly simple directive!!

  i found the situation to be idiotically manipulative and insulting.....i believe that was the beginning of the end for me....

  Then there is some general blah blah about how valueless money and sex is....

  so if the article actually states that money is a valueless thing, why is it that they have so much of it in the KHAA available to cover their sorry butts when "things are not as they should be"?

  mayhaps t'is time to discontinue the premium payments by the r&f?
