  I seriously laughed out loud for a minute straight, that is a classic and hilarious observation. i am crying i am laughing so hard. how can people read watchtower publications and eat this stuff? its so insane. guess thats a easily answered question, mind control. mind control will make you accept anything. wow.

  The Governing Body: the Harderliners versus the Moderates

  i was reading the rumors of the 2001 infighting and the near overthrow of the blood doctrine--and because of 9/11, the hardliners won the day.. .

  that made me wonder: which ones on the governing body are the hardliners and which are the moderates?.

  of course, it could well be that even the moderates have to tow the company line and not speak up, or else they will be shown the door just like brother ray franz was.. .

  YHWH Commanding To Kill Other Tribes' Children Morally = Molech Child Sacrifice?

  the baby killing is an aspect that i cannot reconsile with "the god of love". even if I give you the adults, the teenagers, hell kids above 5, i'll give all that to you, and say that fine, you have to kill them because they are lost causes from being brought up in a corrupt culture. but babies? babies can be raised in a different enviorment and adapt to their surroundings. a baby can be brought up in the "righteous" culture of the Isralites. so why kill the babies? that is the way of "love"? thats how "the god of love" handles it? im not an atheist, i believe god mostly likely or possibly exists, but he for sure, imo, isnt the god of the OT, that dude was a monster war lord who ordered mass genosides that make the holocaust look like a minor genoside. and the "well god was doing those babies a favor, as they went straight to heaven" argument to me is ludicrus and stands just like JW arguments defending the watchtower blood docterine when they say "oh well, he'll get a reserection".

  JW Trying to Refute Don Cameron's book

  one thing he brought up was a new one to me.

  he mentioned the "refinement" prophecies in malachi 3 and daniel 12, and how cameron totally ignores them!

  somewhat similar to the light getting brighter idea from proverbs, implying that teachings would become more "refined" as time goes on.

  i feel real sorry for you if you read Don Camerons book, actually think about what is being said, and verify it yourself, and then proceed to still believe in the watchtower.

  thats tantamount to believing the earth is flat in this day and age.

  wow, this case seems way bigger than I thought. i thought that this was just about the watchtower not complying with the child protection law, and the was the alleged crime. but thats minor, they have actually covered up child rape, and have been caught and are now facing charges. i think the watchtower is in some serious shit.

  he is my favorite debator. He was suposse to debate one of my other favorite debators, James White before he got sick. Its a shame that debate will never happen. I felt like he was a refreshing no BS voice, and during news interviews, he interjected intelligence, logic, and wit where it was needed most. i think we need more people like him around, but sadly there arent many, and there wont be any like him again.

  I think punk of nice is eluding to something i have thought for a while, Jehovah is just another name for the GB. When you get right down to it, and strip away all the BS, the governing body is Jehovah.

  JWs react with joy when something bad has happen to inactive or DF'd ones

  i've noticed when i was an active dub that some jws act joyful whenever they hear that an inactive jw or a df'd person had something bad happen to them.

  some have a glee-ful smile and they give that *look* that says, "we told you so".

  have you ever experienced what i'm referring to?

  I remember there was this young boy about 19 who left the religion, and he was killed in an auto accident. When the topic was brought up, his friend who was a JW stated, and I quote "He left Jehovah, he got what he deserved."
