in light of the most recent watchtower about having zero contact, i would not be suprised if they cracked down. when i was in, we got grief for buying groceries for my very sick da'd mother in law.

WTS position on DF'ed family members
by harleybear inwhat is the wts going to do if a non df'ed individual is the primary care provided for say an elderly family member or a handicapped child or parent?
many of us are in the position that without our assisting these folks they would have no where to turn.
does not the bible admonish a responsiblity to these loved ones??

Instead of labeling us "apostates", Rick calls us "renegades" and "backsliders".im suprised he doesnt also call us "homosexuals" like he did when he blamed the prank callers on his call. if any of you have time to waste, and if its still on his site, check out the conference call with jwn member "publishing cult". on the show Rick blames every problem on gay people and jwn posters. he kept blaming gay people over and over for the prank calls, which in turn one of his regulars called publishing cult a "stupid fa**ot". it was one of the most disgusting things i have ever heard and it was the last time i ever listened in, and I had been a listener from the beginning. publishing cult exposed johnny the bethelite as a fraud, and also proved that Rick knows it.
its also amazing to me, that he is still allowed to promote his website on here. i dont agree with those who think he should be banned, but i am suprised his spamming is not curtailed.

so do the people that continue to put themselves in the same show as Rick even read what happened on this forum or do they just not care that Rick was caught lying?
I mean, if they are of the opinion that even though Rick has been caught red handed lying, but they feel the ends justify the means, then i can see that.
but it just baffles me that some of the most respected ex jw's continue to associate themselves with Rick. perhaps they just are too busy to take the time to sit down and read it all. i dont know.
steve uthank is real, however if i hadent been following this case, i would just chalk him up as a fake because johnny the "bethelite" has been proven to be fake by members of this forum.

My wife goes to my cousin's church to see her get baptized.

i tend to ignore my cousin because of a bad experience i had with her mom and dad (my aunt and uncle).
i know it is wrong now and i feel bad about it now.

she would not be DF'd for setting foot in church, as JW's are premitted to go to weddings and funerals in churches. however attending a religious service in a church is considered an act of apostasy and a person who does that is viewed as automaticly DA'ing onself. as far as what reason? in my view its just another control method to keep the flock isolated.
also, to Gary, its way better if she gets in trouble because of another witness ratting on her and not you. i totally get that. that day would likely come soon. hell, im suprised she didnt get in trouble because of the walk. but that really depends on the elder body, if that was one of my former halls, it would be been at the very least a "sheperding call". good luck, hope you get your wife out some day. its a good sign so far with the stuff you have posted.
