i think what strikes me as that a person like me, who would have kept going to meetings until the end of time if that was what God wanted is on this board and fading. i went through the last 7 years of pure hell, solely because I thought that God wanted me at the meetings and out in field torture. thats whats so amazing and why the wts has a major problem in their hands. even people who would have died for the religion are leaving because no person in their right mind would go through the torture of being a witness if its not true, and not only that but the fact that they disgrace and blaspheme the Bible and Jesus. I know alot of people become atheist, and I have no problem with that. But even people who still believe in God and Jesus get the heck out of the WTS when they learn the truth. And you can learn it in an hour, just come here and look around, or read 1 book and its over like COC. the wts days are numbered imo.

This board is so surreal...
by zeroday inhaving been a jehovah's witness for 28 years any and everyone here could have been in my congregation with no thought of discent...and yet here we all are here...some time in our past we realized something was wrong with our belief system but you would have never known it with the ones you shared your beliefs with...i never dreamed i would ever leave much less find a community struggling with the same issues i did but we did and are all here...kind of surreal in a strange way...who would have known...

Nazi Attandants at the DC, any stories?
by yourmomma ini remember at the last dc in the bathroom their was an attendant and his job was to pass out one paper towl for each person after they washed their hands.
i asked him for another because i wanted to blow my nose and he said "you have enough".
again, another wake up moment for me.

i remember at the last DC in the bathroom their was an attendant and his job was to pass out one paper towl for each person after they washed their hands. i asked him for another because i wanted to blow my nose and he said "you have enough". again, another wake up moment for me. that was the same convention that my 60 year old mother who was having an allergy attack was told, almost forced,to sit back down while she was standing in the corridor trying to compose herself after a major caughing fit. And finally the one that takes the cake, my dad is a diabetic, and after the ban of blankets and sitting on the floor in the corridor at the vet, he was feeling very sick and the extreme heat made him feel sicker. so he sat on his ice chest out on the hallway with his head down. an attendant came up to him and told him he cannot sit there, my father explained that he was just sitting there for a few moments so he can wait for his sickness to pass. the attendant wouldn't let him and told him he either had to go back to his seat or go to the nurse.
part of me wants to go to the dc and do things that i know will piss them off, like stand during the session. i want to just stand next to the attendant with the "please be seated" sign in defiance. or refuse to use the handrail on the way back to my seat. i am an adult, i know what a fucking hand rail is, and if i need to use it, i will. -

Parking at the DC today

i went to the dc today cuz i didn't want to hear it from the wife.... i drop them off at the front and then there were 25 people that "helped" me park my car.

yeah, power trip is a good term. i remember 3 years ago i crossed the street like 2 feet outside of the cross walk on a totally clear street, and a brother yelled at me to use the cross walk. so i started walking towards the cross walk he shouted "no, no, go back and start over". it was insane. every fiber of my being wanted to yell "go fuck yourself asshole!" that brother did me the best favor of my life, it was at that point when i started to wake up.

um, i just read alot of this book. is it me or is this just a cut and paste of WT articles from the past few years? this book made my head hurt, im so glad im out. the guilt and twisting of the Bible is just mind boggling. i feel really bad for people who think they are going to get zapped in the big A by Jehovah for every little thing. this is the 2008 version of the Mosiac Law.

So I used to have this technique where I would pretend to ring the bell. Worked all the time. Once in a while a person would open their door and get startled on their way out. But overall it worked great. I also used to take a REEEEEEL long time writing down not at homes, I would make them as detailed as possible. anyone else do stuff like this?
