  Jehovah's Witnesses---A Religion That Frowns On Everything!

  you can't do anything in the religion!

  you can't hold hands with your spouse during prayers.. you can't wear a logo themed tee shirt when doing menial outdoor work at a "quick build" kingdom hall.. you have to wear a suit and tie or a dress when visiting a watchtower factory.. you can't enjoy an older recording of a favorite talk and pass it around because "the faithful slave" disapproves of that.. you can't further your education with college.. you shouldn't want to get married or have children as the end is soooo close.. they suck the life and enjoyment of people.....and i've only mentioned a fraction of things jws frown on.. .

  a kid in front of me, about 7 or 8 farted so hard and so loud that he grabbed his butt and looked at his mom like "wtf". i lost it, that was classic.

  God's Love book - Prologue examined

  eventually i would like to do a deconstruction on the entire book but for now, lets start with the prologue, which claims to be written by the governing body of jehovah's witnesses.

  Funny how brothers "MISS YOU" so much ONLY during the memorial and C.O visit??

  11 months and 3 weeks.....nothing.

  then one week before the memorial all the brothers start to ring and visit with the "we miss you....loved to see you there.

  What was your initial reaction to finding out the religion is a cult?

  mine was filled with shock and anger but mostly anger.

  it made me feel that way because i have never been lied to like that growing up in the religion with it being all you know.

  for me it was relief. i will say that in my opinion it was always a high control group, that has turned into a cult. maybe it was the congregation i was in most of my life, but it was really liberal. but it seems like at some point a few years ago the GB has ratcheted up the pressure and strictness.

  dear congo,.

  i was df'ed for apostasy (brother-in-law caught me on this web site in march of 2007) and since my judicial committee in april of 2007 and subsequent divorce in october of 2007 i never looked back.

  3 years later, my son (12 years old) is completely out (has only attended the memorial since leaving), and my daughter (10) is fading as best she can.

  sure, JW's arent a cult, when you can just make up your own facts. I notice a link to bethel tours on it, perhaps he is trying to make money? I know that JW apologists are some of the worst liars on the net. However this article is so out of line, I have to wonder if the person who wrote it is actually a JW.

  Hypnotic Language Patterning

  i have not attended any meetings for three months but recently i was struck by a strange recollection of something common to most meetings i attended.

  at every meeting, regardess of the time of day, frame of mind, secular workload, etc, i would feel i was being lulled into a numbing sleep.

  it was not that the material was boring to me (i have attended many boring secular conferences and never experienced the strange effect that a meeting had on me).

  i always had this weird sleepy feeling come over me during the meetings. not like being tired, more like mental tiredness. i think there is some sort of hypnotic thing going on, like to get peoples mind to just accept everything being said.

  He might not be a child rapist, but did he not break into a womans house and beginning raping her and then stopped himself? Now its great he stopped himself, but you have to have a fucking screw loose to even get to that point. I wouldnt want him knocking on my door.
