She is beginning to feel as though she has been controlled all these years.
What a sad state of affairs!!
I was a witness once , many moons ago, but left before I was 16. So I never got to experience a "witness marriage" . But from the sounds of things, they are taking the "honor your husband" thing a little too far!!
She wants to leave but has no grounds to , at the moment. I am trying to find a way for her to do this with some dignity. I am pretty worried for her. She wants to give a letter to the elders stating she is no longer interested in going to meetings anymore.
But she will lose her family, friends and everything she knows and I am pretty sure her loveless marriage won't get any better either.
