My letter...

alot of you already know about me because he's talked about me on here before...even has posted pictures, at which he incurred my wrath upon my discovery.
anyways...i'm about to submit my letter of disassociation to my local congregation and i thought i would share it.

If WT have the legal right to stone us...would they do it???
by JustHuman14 inwe all know wt's view of "apostates"and disfellowshiped persons.
they grap from the old testament quotes that "god's people, isralites" stone to death the evil doers, even the unobedient children.
the first one to cast the stone was a close relative, parents, brothers, sisters.

Would they do it? A great deal would.
Most of us who have left the WTS left because we realize it's a sham. And a lot of us are being shunned because of it.
Now, if we're being shunned because of doctrinal disagreements, it doesn't take that much imagination to believe we would be stoned if the WTS had its way.
Permanent silence for us whistle-blowers/an example to keep others in the cage. Win-win for the Org.

Can demons repent?
by heyfea init sounded very funny when my little sister asked my mother during their weekly bible study (some 25 years ago) what would happened if satan repented?
my mom thought she was being a smart-ass and punished her for asking such thing.
but now that i think about it, can any of these fallen angels repent?

There is no possibility that demons can, or will be repentant.
Repentance is for imperfect humans. A perfect creature's actions cannot be mistaken. Unlike humans, they rebelled against God with the full knowledge of the import of their actions.
The Blue Letter Bible has an excellent section on angels: Angelology: Questions about Angels, Demons, and the Power of Satan. It even addresses the WTS misconception about Michael the Archangel and Jesus being the same person.

by BonaFide ini know of two jw therapists, one who is an elder.. so yesterday i was out in service (yea i know) and we saw another car group from another congregation in a parking lot.
so we all started to talk and see who knew who, etc.
do you know any other jw therapist elders out there?

His wife said this: "Yea, its great because since he is an elder, he can help the friends with therapy, and he can include Scriptures. A lot of Witnesses need help, but they think their issues are related to their spirituality. So he helps them to see that their issues does not mean they are not spiritual. He helps them get rid of guilt feelings. The only thing is that they have to sign a form stating that if they have committed a wrong that the elders need to know about, he will not be obligated to keep confidentiality. A lot of the sisters have eating disorders, so he helps them. Plus a lot of others, brothers and sisters."
His own wife shouldn't even know this.

I admit that I am not that knowledgeable about patient-doctor confidence.
However, this man is guaranteeing that you have no privacy. He is no longer a moral and efficacious therapist.
Loosie and Purps are right, BF. It's illegal, and definitely a scam.

The only thing is that they have to sign a form stating that if they have committed a wrong that the elders need to know about, he will not be obligated to keep confidentiality.
Who gets to decide "what the elders need to know about?"

Confused and betrayed
by gimley inhi all on this forum.. i am very confused and lost and annoyed.. i was a jw for 28 years and then left not really believing and not really sure if there was a good or not, there was just to much hypocrisy in the kh and within the society.. dont be materalistic yet some pioneers seem to be able to have three cars and go on three holidays a year and somehow still make there hours.. the other point that really annoyed me was that my sister was treated like a criminal when she was dissfellowshipped which she was forced into, a elder would not stop coming to see her to convince her to come even if it was just for my parents, he said the only way this would stop is if she was to dissfellowship herself, now she was single living alone and saw no other choice but to do this.. so she was ignored and when she moved back to the scotland to get help with a wee one she had she did get help from my folks untill a elder reported them to the co and they had to stop.
now she was getting married so is no longer going to live in sin and my folks refused to go to the wedding as they would lose there position in the kh - despite that they decided to park outside the hotel so they could see my sister and kids go into the hotel and see them in there outfits, it is just wrong my sister was so hurt by this and her husband my best mate was so angry.
due to all that has happend over the year i dont know if i believe in god now,i would love to but i dont know how and whom do i trust.. .

Oh Gimley, I'm sorry for your pain. At least your sister can count on you, thank goodness.
Witnesses give love and God a bad name. The Pharisees of Jesus' day have nothing on them.
Once you are free from their thought control, you'll be able to make up your own mind about things. Give it time.

Oh you poor, trusting soul. Hoping against hope.
The WTS will become more cultic, not less.
Why do you think they have two Watchtowers? Because they want to be more controlling, not less.
If the WTS becomes more normalized, they'll lose that special 'persecuted' feeling. And more normal means less control, and we can't have any of that, now can we?
