I walked away from my congregation. I thought end of story. Why should I care? My circumstances were such that this was possible.
I met a girl(only IN THE STREET) who was in an emotional distress because she was disfellowshiped and in a very bad way that she was shunned.
I decided to knock on the door on a couple who contributed to her emotional distress and ask them to not be so rude in ignoring her.
Bloody Hell the justification they gave for shunning her was very impressive. Sadly not once did they accept there shunning was because the mentality of the group demanded it . In there mind it was a personal decision.
I guess I signed my death sentence as to my fade .
My question is when the elders hear of this and the treatment of the girl I was concernd about will they show compassion to her and say the shunning can stop or have I made my self disfellowshipped for no reason

Have you gained more than lost?
by compound complex ingreetings, my friends:.
the above question is not in regard to one's weight.
that would be a rude question .... in terms of your jw experience, have the losses you've suffered been offset by the good you've gained?.

Hi Compound and Complex.
In terms of POWER If I had stayed in and progressed I imagine I would be an Elder now.
As it ended I was a sincere beliver helping the congregation and beliving I was authorised by Jehovahs holy- spirit to fullfill this privalige. When I realised this was an ilusion well I counted my losses and quit.
Paid a high price emotionally and now I dont feal I have any answers. That includes an answer to your question.

Have you ever said "I could write a book!"
by compound complex indear wannabe writers,.
i'm sure that all of us have been either fascinated (or bored to distraction) by the loquacious reciter of personal tales who tops off his soliloquy with "i could write a book!
writing a book has left the realm of the remote possibility to become a truly practicable challenge.. do you have a tale to tell?

"All Quite On the Western Front" JUST READ IT.
"Goodbye Mr Chips"Reading it now.
Those are great books. Fiction that is really reality.
Most of the time writting is to concernd with narative to be of value . You have to be aware of the story. Of what is happenning in the story. Of structure and detail. There needs to be an element of pain of desperation of hunger to reach something or someone.
I think when I WAS YOUNG I thought I COULD CHANGE THE WORLD and write a book. . Now I settle for changing the neighbourhood...... Not a book maybe I can write a song.

by cluless inabout a month ago i phoned the local police that every saturday a couple of religiouse people were knocking on doors in the local area.

i gave the police the name and telephone number of one of the witnesses.

About a month ago I PHONED THE LOCAL POLICE that every saturday a couple of religiouse people were knocking on doors in the local area. I explained I was concerned that there message was most unpleasant and comprised of either we converted to there religon or God would kill us and our families. I gave the police the name and telephone number of one of the witnesses. The policeman said he would call him. This was a month or so ago and the regular saturday ministry in the area has stopped.
On another occassion I complained to my local Bus Company about there employee witnessing in COMPANY UNIFORM. I explained to the Bus Company his message was God would soon Destroy the bus company there staff and all there customers unless they converted. I was told they could guess who the member of staff was and they would speak to him about talking such rubbish whilst wearing there uniform.
On both instances I belive I was justified in the action I took. but on both occassions I felt slightly guilty.
