  ten pounds in ten weeks week one

  haven't read the posts on the other thread yet - will do so asap.

  in the meantime, had a long day myself, did not got for a walk, worked nine hours without a break!

  busy day, had breakfast, only a yogurt for lunch, was glad to come home and have a bowl of cereal.

  Hey all, calories burned for 1/4/08 was only 830 cause i wasn't feeling good enough to pull a double like i usually do..gotta do some tweaking to my caloric and protein intake so that i'm not nuking muscle mass instead of fat.-KS

  in this thread i mentioned having a long chat with an elder last summer.

  i didn't realize i had never posted the story, so here it is.. last summer (when i went to buy my new camera lens) i ran into one of my favorite jws at the photography shop.

  he was buying a camera bag for his new dslr, and i saw him, went up and greeted him, hugged him.

  It's funny to see the pre-programmed responses they all give..written out,and read back. It's particularly funny how he kept repeating his only defense:"They're just men"...my mom tried that one me also..at which point i told her:"..and THAT'S why i don't follow ANYTHING they have to say...how do i know when they're doing what "God" wants,or being"just men"?...And besides..I thought "God" was supposed to be against that sorta thing..following men to ruin rather than his words".

  I then asked her what was so special about them,that if it was something "God" wanted me to know..he couldn't speak directly to me,why does he need them to mediate?-KS

  Thanks for he experience TMS,all it did was serve to confirm what i already thought..which is why i don't bother with prayer anymore..

  After a bad experience in a meeting that was prefaced by a prayer,i came away convinced that "God" wasn't listening,OR participating in the meeting,it was "just men" pretending to be inspired by "God" to try and justify their personal vendetta's,and subsequent personal decisions on how to proceed.-KS

  so it's january 1 and i want to lose ten pounds in ten weeks.

  i've been on a diet for a year and a half and have lost 130 pounds.

  weight loss has slowed down, so i need more focus and more exercise.

  Sounds good to me Hortensia,i'll bookmark the page so i can find it easier in that case.

  That's pretty good,don't worry about walking too fast..i burn waaay more calories doing low intensity training and monitoring my heart rate to make sure i stay in that fat burning "sweet spot",that i ever did running/fast walking on 3.8 speed..an example of this was just then,when i was down there..there was a chick next to me haulin ass on the treads..so out of curiosity i peeked at her display...at the 45mins mark of her running session,she only had burned 425 calories..to contrast,at the 45mins mark in my low intensity climb session,i was a little over 560..burning at a 13.9:1 ratio versus her 9.4:1..then afterwards i still felt good enough to lift weights.:P-KS

  Hi everyone, I'm in on this. I want to lose about 21 pounds, hopefully by the summer but not too bothered if it takes longer. I'm on the Atkins diet, cutting out those evil carbs is what really works for me

  Hey Bubbles,be careful with that Atkins..if you suddenly go off it and start eating lots of carbs,and sugar you will gain weight in alarming rate..i did it,and gained an extra 50lb + high BP for it because of the quick weight increase.-KS

  Alright,i'm running a little late cause i had an unexpected flat tire..but,i'm back from the gym,and here now...with today's numbers..1450 calories burned on the treads..consisting of a 45min session which netted me 616,then a 1hr session netting me 834,for a grand total of 1450,that's not incl 30mins of weights afterwards.-KS

  I don't think it really has a meaning...I think you're born,you live,you die,and that's it..But then again,i believe that this is all just entertainment for Heaven's inhabitant's...Some people never get the punchline till they're on their "death bed"..the purpose of life..is simply to live life,have fun,and be entertaining...by the time a person dies,his "purpose"has been fulfilled and he's already been recast,as he replaced the person before him..but that's just my take_KS

  I don't know her,but i know i've seen that pic they're using of her before somewhere though..it may have been on Myspace or something..I must admit though..it's kinda eerie seeing it in a memorial though._KS
