i've been a member on this site for almost a year, why is it we allow our loved ones to keep us from taking a stand?
I'm always plugging in select classical music. The classical composers did a great job of rolling out the red carpet for the eventual manifestation of God. What Beethoven, Mozart, Bach and the rest could not articulate during their time, they expounded by means of cerebral music. The symphony is a graphic demonstration of God. I'm not imposing classical music. I just use it to drive home a point.

How can they avoid the thought that they are playing an endgame? And not one that terminates in Armageddon?
Definitely all religions will terminate in Armageddon where we will come to know who really is God. He is us. The way to that recognition is Armageddon.

Why is it you don't personally take a stand?
I took a stand and that is: We are, collectively, God.

I find it wise not to ask me so many questions at one time. So lets start at one and go from there.

back in 2007 i had posted that i was hoping that people would be willing to share their experience going through and coming out of the organization because i had a term paper due on it.
i got one interview in long beach...which was awesome, and a bunch of other replies through email...however!
i paniced!
2) As a group of Ex witnesses, what do you think could be done to help those that are coming out of the organization that are suicidal depressed, anxious, fearful etc..and those that are still in.
This is just one cent worth of opinion, 'coz I'm sleepy already. I think ex-JWs should band together and not fight one another. There ought to be an Emergency 911 sort of thing for those who just came out.

let me just start off by saying wow.
never thought the day would come i'd see myself write that kind of title.
so, you may or may not remember me from my post a few weeks ago about my ex-jw g/f from europe wanting to see what a meeting was like in the states.
I used to think, "well it has to be the truth because 'so and so' has a doctorate and he thinks it's the truth." No matter how much I doubted the faith, the integrity of the "intelligent ones" in the congregation made me re-evaluate my feelings. by leaving-jws
At last, I've the chance to speak my mind about this subject. I noticed from all featured personalities in the Awake mags involving so and so "intelligent ones," like the NASA scientists-turned JWs, that they became JWs not because of the "truth" but because they love their wives who happened to know the truth first.
I think that "love story" was also true with my parents. My father was a scholar of the University of the Philippines when he met my JW mother in a KH. He was still a BS then and because he fell in love with my future mom, he continued attending the meetings, became a JW and the rest is history.
