It seems hard to find a pro-JW forum, I believe this may be in part due to the Watchtower teaching against their use. I have not spent much time with JW's, they generally seem to be nice people, but a little closed minded. Am I wrong about this?

What JW Beliefs Did You...
by Abandoned inwhat jw beliefs did you make up for your own sanity?.
for me it was regarding the flood.
instead of believing that god had destroyed millions of people, i imagined that because of all the violence, by the time the flood came, the only people besides noah and his family that were still alive were the nephilim.

I will start of by stating I am not a Jehovah Witness, but since I do believe in The Flood, I though I might choose to reply. I believe that it can be more merciful to die, than to continue to live in sin. Meaning, if you die before committing murder lets say, you are better off than if you had actually committed that murder. That is how I rationalize The Flood at least.

1. What has led you to your choice in religious faith? 2. What does your faith do for you spiritually? 3. How does your faith better you and the world in which you live? 4. Why does your faith promote its rather legendary evangelical approach and missionary efforts? 5. Does your faith encourage studying other religions and ideologies? 6. How has religion shaped your life? 7. What is your belief regarding heaven and who will go their? 8. What are the challenges, if any, to practicing this particular religion? 9. What are the important holidays and traditions of this religion? 10. If you could clarify one thing about your religion and its message that is often misunderstood or even distorted by others what would that be? Thank you very much for your replies!
