  My conscience

  i've only been on this forum for a short while, but i love it here!

  i have a question for everyone.. first of all, about a year and a half ago, i got on the internet to search for some jw forums.

  i didn't find any right away, but what i did find was information about the wt and all of its inconsistencies.

  "To thine own self be true"

  Trust me you can't go on like this. Sooner or later you will blurt it out or go "to far" and be reported to the elders.

  I would go out on top. I would raise my hand during the Watchtower study and ask a related question that you know they can't answer. Maybe even research a conflicting quote from another publication. Ask like "If this Watchtower says we should________than why does this Watchtower say we should______. Just say you were doing extensive research and came upon this quote.

  Keep doing that until they bust you. See if you can video it and put it on UTube. That would be some funny stuff!!

  The way you are feeling your "dead man walking" anyway. You might as well have some fun with it and have a great story and video tape!

  If I could only do mine over. I just told the Elders off. One told me he had never heard the "f" word used so much.

  Ya' little JW bedwetting crybaby. How do you stand going door to door when everyone hates you?

  It's you, ya know. Everyone was always nice to me when I went door to door. Of course, I always had a buzz on.

  i did when i was a teenager.

  i was a good little witness on the outside but a pot smoking, girl chasing, booze swilling....normal teenager.. funny story.

  i was 17 and this elders wife started a study with a lady in our neighborhood.

  I did when I was a teenager. I was a good little Witness on the outside but a pot smoking, girl chasing, booze swilling....normal teenager.

  Funny story. I was 17 and this Elders wife started a study with a lady in our neighborhood. It was in the afternoon during the week. The lady did not want the sister to come to her house as her husband objected to the Witnesses, so the Elders wife asked if they could meet in our house. My parents said OK, so every wednesday, at 2:00, the two would meet. All of my family was in school and/or working so the house was generally empty.

  One Wednesday, I can home at about 2:00 and the Elders wife was sitting at the dining room table, waiting for the lady. She said the lady hadn't shown up yet. I went about my business and shortly jumped in the shower. All of a sudden, Mrs Elder is in the shower with me, naked.

  For the next two months, I made sure I was home at 2:00 on Wed. I was 17 and she was 31. She was hot and a wildcat!! Anyway at some point her conscience got the best of her and she confessed. My dad was an elder, and he was pissed. There was a big Elders meeting with me and my parents, her and her Mr. Elder and a committee of three Elders. It was a hoot.

  Everyone seemed to be screaming at me, when I pointed out that I was 17, jail bait and she was guilty of statutory rape.

  The room got real quiet. The elders asked me and my parents to step outside. Then one came out and said we could go and they would get back with us.

  No one ever said another word about it. No one was disfellowshipped and the Wildcat and Mr. Elders soon moved to parts unknown.

  Of course, word spread among the Witness kids and I was "the man" for a while.

  I know you guys have some funny stuff. Give it up!!!

  To Jehovah's Witnesses: 1 Peter 3:15: "But sanctify the Christ as Lord in YOUR hearts, always ready to make a defense before everyone that demands of YOU a reason for the hope in YOU, but doing so together with a mild temper and deep respect." ...but then again why are you even on this site? The Watchtower 5/1/2000, pg 10, par 9 & 10: "Some apostates are increasingly using various forms of mass communication, including the Internet, to spread false information about Jehovah’s Witnesses. As a result, when sincere individuals do research on our beliefs, they may stumble across apostate propaganda. Even some Witnesses have unwittingly exposed themselves to this harmful material. In addition, apostates occasionally take part in television or radio programs. What is the wise course to follow in view of this?" 10 The apostle John directed Christians not to accept apostates into their homes. He wrote: “If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, never receive him into your homes or say a greeting to him. For he that says a greeting to him is a sharer in his wicked works.” (2 John 10, 11) Avoiding all contact with these opponents will protect us from their corrupt thinking. Exposing ourselves to apostate teachings through the various means of modern communication is just as harmful as receiving the apostate himself into our homes. Never should we allow curiosity to lure us into such a calamitous course!—Proverbs 22:3." If you're a JW and are on this site you are going against the Society's admonition. I am an apostate. I will give you my standard apostate curse: "May Catholic Weasels, in little Pope hats, gnaw your flesh"

  Again, I agree. My post was intended to show the Witnesses twisted view. I do not believe in the Bible, but they do, so any contradictions in their literature is fair game.

  My mother is french and we spoke both languages growing up so I do understand your illustration and it is a very powerful arguement.

  Wow! Deep.

  I would say our views are similar.

  Watch the alcohal thing. You mention it several times and in view of Dad's problem you may be prone to alcohal abuse.

  That would be bad and it would be a shame for such a bright insightful person as yourself to be impared.

  How many apostates are in the governing body?

  if the elders ask a publisher if he thinks the society should change the blood policy or any policy and he admits that he thinks that something should be changed, then he can be disfellowshipped for apostasy.

  however, it appears that the governing body periodically votes on proposed policy changes and a 2/3 majority is needed to make a change.

  this means that governing body members often openly admit that they disagree with some official policies.

  Good thought! If a member of the GB believed in something that disagreed with the "Truth" or policy at the moment, is he an apostate.

  i wish i could not think its so wrong when everyone i know and love thinks its so right.. i'm so mad... i wish i could run to my husband and tell him how angry i am.

  tell him and my family that i don't ever want to go near a kh again.

  Hypocrisy is hard work. I can see the inner conflicts it is creating in you.

  I was a JW for 50 years, now disfellowshipped, apostate and shunned. Honestly, I am at peace with myself for the first time in my life. I have been DF'd for 6 years now and I'm fine. My family doesn't speak to me, that's fine too. I have and continue to uncover so many lies and inconsistancies in the literature, I was a first shocked. Now its amusing.

  Rememeber, the Bethel guy who invented disfellowshipping got a huge bonus because that is the best way to keep you in chains. Some hard choices but you need inner peace.

  I Have a Commercial Janitorial Service - And Proud of It !

  this is a subject i've been wanting to approach for awhile as i've noticed on the board at times there have been wisecracks about janitors who were jehovah's witnesses .

  now , hey, i'm real, have a good sense of humor, and can take a joke like anyone, be the brunt of a good joke, hell, i laugh at myself when i work alone at nights- just to keep entertained !

  I have an engineering degree and have owned several multi million dollar hi tech companies.I also have a degree in accounting.

  A friend college friend of mine began doing janitorial work for a company while a student, In fact I worked for this same guy on occasion. College students are notoriously poor.

  Upon graduation, I went into engineering. My friend also graduated but shortly thereafter bought the Janitorial business. That was in 1979, He now has 250 employees, owns numerous commercial and residnetial properties, has a mold remediation company that he had franchised out into about 25 states and numerous other investments. I am relatively wealthy but this guy can buy and sell me.

  No disrespect here my friend.

  By the way, your life as a JW is very much like mine, except for the college thing. My mind was made up and i simply ignored the "no College" stuff. I too married early (for the same reason) and went to college nights.

  Now, divorced, disfellowshipped and an apostate. I am remarried to a wonderful woman and I am truly at peace with myself.
