  C'mon. The reason JR Brown and Mr. Moreno haven't been DF'd, is that they're defending the Society with their words, whether true or not.

  Have you never heard of "Theocratic Warfare", where it is allegedly OK to lie if you're protecting theocratic interests?? This is exactly what JR Brown is doing.

  Bill Bowen, on the other hand, comes under the Society's scrutiny because he is NOT supporting the Society on their backwards policy.

  Your argument is paper-thin and transparent.

  VERY interesting (April 1, 2002 WT, p.19)

  this statement is prety interesting.

  it's taken from the very latest watchtower article (april 1, 2002) the final sentence of paragraph 14 reads:.

  "if jehovah's organization knowingly endorsed false teachings, advice to read the bible would never be given to jehovah's witnesses and those to whom they preach.".

  Putting together the quote from Stevie's post and the one from Mustang, we can conclude:

  (1) The organization is admitting to (at least unknowingly) endorsing false teachings in the past

  (2) They say they are spirit-directed, so

  (3) Did the holy spirit direct them to teach lies?

  (4) Their wording "advice to read the Bible would never be given" is constructed so as to be deliberately confusing. The obvious implication is that the Bible only SUPPLEMENTS the teachings of the Watchtower society.

  Question about the 1914 topic...

  i just read the thread started by obves...and have often heard people talking about dates and time frames..... my question is....where in the hell do these people come up with these numbers?????

  how do you come about making predictions and/or claims about how much time 70 weeks actually equals in bible terms???

  could someone please explain this to me, because it's starting to piss me off, the way people are just throwing around numbers and dates and if they are hardcore fact.. thanx.

  Hey numbers to these prophets are like Monopoly money. The numbers look real, but they are worthless!

  Seven times this, a day for a year that, mix and match. Once in a while hit a significant date (1914), other times miss (1915, 1918, 1925, 1975, end of the 20th century, etc.

  i had a letter today from the idiot jw "friend" back in wisconsin who was spreading all the gossip about us and she said something that is so stupid, but yet so jwish.

  she said that "even if it were to turn out that everything the society has taught is wrong and armageddon never comes, the organization is still the best place to be.

  " people with that mindset never will wake up.

  Your daughter-in-law's comments about "they NEED to be led" aptly describes the mindless devotion that marks a good number of JW's. With the other JW's, I suspect it's a feeling of superiority over "the world", illusionary though that feeling is, that gives them kind of a 'high' feeling of which they don't want to let go.

  they were discussing sodom and gomorah and how if jah had found a few righteous men in that city, both cities would be spared.

  not a one was found.

  however, they mention jah protected lot and his daughters, as they were faithful and living nearby.

  The answer to your riddle must be MOAB and AMMON. They were the son's of Lot's daughters, thus being his grandchildren. Simultaneously, they were Lot's own sons. Sheesh what a wonderful bible story, makes you want to go back to "the troof", eh???

  why god cannot have existed forever.. this is something a friend of mine brought up a number of years ago.at the time i just thought that to understand how a god existed forever was just beyond our little brains.. well now after reading a lot more physics books i think its evidence a god couldn't have existed forever and therefore would had a begining (if there was a god).. basically if god had lived from infinity in the past we wouldn't have been created yet as there would always be forever untill we were created.. do you get that?.

  at any point in time we could take, if time went back forever then you could never get to that point in time.

  you would always have infinity infront of you.. sorry if this doesn't make much sense as it is not easy to describe.

According to reports by KMSP-TV, Testolini--a former employee at Prince's Paisley Park Studios--and the singer tied the knot in a small Jehovah's Witness ceremony. When LAUNCH contacted two separate representatives of Prince, both responded with "No comment."

  This is the second marriage for Prince. In February of 1996 while using the name the Artist (formerly known as Prince), Prince married then back-up dancer Mayte. Later that year, the couple's one-week old son died after being born with a fatal skull condition, clover lead syndrome. The two eventually divorced in 2000. Since that time, Mayte has been paired with rocker Tommy Lee of Motley Crue fame.
