  I'm meeting with the elders...

  i was so adament with my husband about not meeting with them./ i said "no" under no uncertain terms that i did not want to have this meeting.

  so, they have been hounding us for days about it, repeatedly asking.. finally, my husband and the elder both come up to me asking about it.

  so i just said to elder that the last meeting was discouraging and i don't want to be put through that again.

  Cognac, I am so sorry you are going through all of this.. I think of you and your situation often, and wish you well! More so because i probably know most of the people you are dealing with... (us growing up in the same "area" and all.) I wish you well.. and my thoughts are with you.

  I'm Engaged!!!

  so late last week, i decided that the time was right, and i asked my girlfried to marry me.

  i had asked her father earlier in the week for his blessing, which he gave.

  we had visited my mother (also df'd) in georgia prior to that, and mom and her hit it off.

  ok.. so i have been married almost a year.. in that time i never got around to changing my last name.

  finally today i am going to.

  can anyone tell me what i can expect when i get to the ssi office?

Can anyone tell me what i can expect when i get to the ssi office? and about how long the process takes? Annnd are they going to charge me since i did not do it right away? I have noo clue....... I will get it all right by my next marriage.. hehe

  so my girlfriend and i are getting very serious, and i've bought her engagement ring, should be done being built sometime in may.

  then at some point later, i'm going to ask her to marry me.

  she was with me and picked out her ring, so she knows its coming.

  i am so sorry you have to deal with this. i know EXACTLY how u feel and what you are going through. I got married last july. And my dad and my sisters did not attend. It hurt like hell. I did however, send them invitations. It can never be said i did not try... again i am sorry you are going through all of this.

  I am absolutely all for it. I was raped at a early age by someone my parents thought they could trust. I would love to see him dead. Death Penalty is the perfect punishment.

  when i was a teenager, i was told by an elder that because i smiled a lot and was known for my good sense of humor, that i should come across as "more serious".

  so before i was appointed a ms, while in my late teens, i transformed myself into a much more "serious" brother.. were you ever told that you needed to work on something that you knew was stoopid?.
