Agreed, to a point, most Christians haven't heard the audible voice of God i.e. via their ears.

However, I have heard His voice loud and clear on occasion internally in my mind, in the same way I can heard my own voice or I can see something in my mind's eye.

However, most often it is the confirmation of the Holy Spirit within my spirit by which hearing comes.

Satan- Perfect Scapegoat for Witnesses Ignoring Real Causes of Situations

in a recent thread i started on music i couldn't help noticing how many had to throw their alleged " worldly music " out because parents, or elders told them their music brought them " under the influence of demons ", or listening to music was how " the demons got inside us ".

this superstitious belief that " satan " is to blame for each witnesses demise is really a passing of the buck of responsibility so it sidesteps real issues involved.. for example : check these familiar expressions out we all heard while we were jehovah's witnesses .. .

1. if a person was stumbled and said, " i don't want to go to meetings anymore.

i'm officially walking away from this religion.

I'm officially walking away from this religion. Even though it means I'll be on my own. I don't really care anymore. I'm sick of all the lying and deceipt, all of the two-faced-ness. Not just the people in the religion but me as well. By leading a double life I've been two-faced. I just can't deal with anymore.

Integrity has its price but I think it is more than worth it.

I can't take it anymore. People I thought were my friends, really not. People who claimed to love and care, don't. I'd rather be left to myself than be surrounded by people who are backstabbing, rumour-mongering, gossip lovers.

loosing it!

anyone else have any experience of a couple of months after leaving the org...feelings etc??.

my husband has left too and feels the same as i do.. but we just seem to be arguing constantly at the moment, though i do feel this may be my own fault!

i feel soooo angry, bitter and annoyed at how things have turned out.

THanks Stephen.. i really am going to work on my fruits!!!! I really have turned into a bitter person and angry.. i will pray to feel less anxious and annoyed and hopfully this will help me. I am not naturally a hot head, but i feel myself turning into this bitter, grumpy cantancourous woman!

Just remember, you can't do it yourself, the "flesh" always wins, you need the Holy Spirit Romans 7, Romans 8

brain thought hands were cut off!.

What happened to the questions in the Watchtower and why?

could someone please advise why the questions for public study on a sunday are no longer in the watchtower?.

also a while ago now the gatherings in private homes during the week for study also stopped.. i was told that it was in preparation of armageddon so that individuals could become more independant and have more time to establish their relationship directly with jehovah.

this was because the gb felt people were relying on the organization too much in providing their spiritual needs and with armageddon it may be that jws will not be able to access the support network that they currently have.

Only the Holy Spirit brings understanding from the bible. Without Him it seems like foolishness.

The Holy Sprit brings new life, one is "born from above". In Christ, we are a new creation.

bez I will continue to pray and will definatly ask to be clothed in love to perhaps get rid of some of the negativity i am feeling and bitterness... thank you again
