How Do YOU Handle Busybodies?
by minimus inwe all know elders believe they have the god given right to ask any question they want, especially if they are "investigating" a matter that could be "judicial" in nature.
but not only elders are known to ask personal questions.
i've seen elder's wives ask inappropriate questions simply because they were "elder's wives".

My JW Daughter sends a Letter to us Explaining her Shunning of Me
by flipper inmy wife and i sent my 22 yr.old pioneer witness daughter and her husband a anniversary card and $ 40.00 and flowers the end of april.
my daughter wrote mrs. flipper and me each our own individual letters thanking us initially for the gifts - and then went into detail as to why she has not spoken to me for over a year and shunned me.. keep in mind as i paraphrase some of the highlights to these letters that the only negative thing i have said about the organization to my daughter in 3 years was to show her the ap news release about the child abuse settlements by the wt society .

Mr. Flipper,
I think it is a wise decision for you to reread Hassen's book before writing back to your daughter. Yes, your daughter will not meet with you face to face but she did respond with kindness and affection in her letter. I believe the door is still open. It is just a metter of figuring out how to open it even more. The right words chosen carefully due to her mind control will further your message to her. Please keep us posted and I wish you the best.

I have redeveloped my critical thinking skills. As a JW the ORG told us how to live, now I say how I will live. This has brought about much peace and happyness. I love not being on"thier leash anymore".

Is the Kingdom Hall a good place for ugly guys to get pretty girls?
by donny inabout two weeks ago i was having lunch at an establishment that has tables set up on the outside (actually a sidewalk) and as i was waiting for my order, i overheard two guys talking at the next table.
a homely guy who had a pretty girl on his arm brought this response.

there are many christians who are having problems in their personal lives and this can be traced to one thing.

That is exactly what they told us. My 2 kids stopped going to meetings and we where told to kick them out of the house. In fact, my husband got hauled into the back room by 2 elders and they gave him a firm talking to. It was a blessing in disguise because that really opened our eyes to the WTS. We walked away a short time later and the whole family is thriving. We have never been closer. Ha ha on them, it totally backfired.

Hi and how are you. The tone of her voice was very warm and friendly. Has there been some special talks at the service meeting saying to be kind
and not shun. Also, I thought it could be grounds for disciplinary action for a JW (nonelder) to approach a DA or DF one for friendly conservation.

Staying fit. I run 5 miles a day and cross train with weights. Also, injoy raquet sports, snorkling. We garden, flowers, apples trees, cherry trees, plum trees and various berry, grapes.
