I was about 4 or 5 years old. They must of been talking about prejudice in the meeting or something. That's when I first learned about it. I kept asking my Dad about it because I didn't understand it. Anyways, my mom said that people used to have everything divided. Like different schools, bathrooms, etc - for white and black.
I asked my mom, did witness separate everything out like that? She said that they did. I wasn't to happy about this. I thought the organization did everything right so surely they would know not to separate things out by a persons skin color... That just didn't sit well with me at all... I was disappointed...

Do you remember how I told you my sister almost got me d'ffed???
by cognac inwell, it's been a shocking turn of events around here... her ms husband just got publicly reproved and she's been out partying a lot without him.
and i mean going to clubs to dance with other evidently not so "spiritual" jws... i don't really know what's going on with her.
not sure what her motive is - depression, wanting to just live a life, or avoidance of what's happening???.

Did she marry young and do all the spiritual things so that now she's pursuing her lost youthful independence?
yup
And now that Sis doesn't have to be the proper MS wife, she's starting to do the things she wants to do.
yup, again...

OTWO - It's not that. She made it clear that it has nothing to do with there marriage and doesn't even seem to know all the details. She did state that she couldn't believe and didn't ever think somebody would ever form a JC over whatever it was...
I think the elders were looking for something... Not sure though...

It's to bad that those who are so self-righteous fall of there plateau... Actually, maybe not. Maybe she's going to get an amazing wake-up call. I hope so... I just hope she doesn't really screw up her life in the process...

Should JWs in banned lands be going underground?
by cognac inon the one hand, daniel still worshipped god the way he was before when it was law that he wasn't supposed to.
on the other hand, it is said in the greek scriptures to flee the land if people go against you when preaching.. so, to me this would mean that jws should go to where people would be receptive to the message if they can.
however, if they jws don't flee the city then they should follow as daniel and continue what they were doing before - publicly going from house to house and to the meetings.

It was just funny to me how they emphasized so much at the DC what Daniel did and how he kept on doing what they he was doing and yet it evidently didn't dawn on them that JWs don't do that...

Well, at least to the meetings.

First of all, don't divorce him if you need his insurance.
It seems to me that he wants to divorce you before he gets baptised because if he waits until after he's baptised then he can't divorce you until one of you cheat on the the other.
Don't let him bully you. What he's joining is a cult anyways.
Btw, welcome!
