  New Christmas Ornament this year

  this year i put a new ornament up on the tree.

  what makes it special is that it is a picture frame ornament.

  the picture inside the frame is a recent family photo of all the people i haven't seen in years standing in front of a hall.

  Sadly her parents chose to conceal the sexual nature of the incident and told her not to say anything about it.

  IMO, parents are just as guilty, and maybe even more so, as the perpetrator. They should be jailed too...

  Rivalry among the sisters

  when i was first introduced to the "truth", i was so distracted by the love and affection that the members were showing me that i was ready to convert into the religion without thinking twice.

  i was conviced that jws were god's people (i still think some of them are).

  i made it my goal to get baptized as i wanted to be part of the "only" religion that produce such good people.

  I never noticed much. But, I never had any really nice things. I remember the older kids seemed competitive. I just had a really good group of friends growing up. A bunch of us had difficult backgrounds so we sort of clung to each other.

  I don't really think I was viewed as competition. Anyways, if there was any for the most part I was probably way into my own little world to really notice, lol.

  In my mid-twenties I was ignored a lot by the girls my age. I'm not sure if that was competition or they just had their own little click. But, that was kinda hurtful cause I did reach out to them.

  Freedom in admitting the truth...

  for those that lurk or havnt decided to post yet.... living a lie is difficult.

  nobody would likely disagree with that... many of us lived or are living the wt lie for the sake of friends or family.

  it can eat at us and put us in situations where we frame half truths, try to find tactful way to avoid telling people what we really think.. there is great freedom in being able to admit truths.

  Basic Principles for Forum Moderation

  a perennial issue for any online forum is moderation and applying rules.

  we have a set of community guidelines and posting guidelines that are intended to make clear what is and isn't acceptable but this tends to focus on the obvious standards of behavior for, well, obvious reasons.

  it's easy to talk about people being aggressive or insulting etc... as those are common and clearly unwanted behaviors and the typical issue for online communities - the most likely things to come up.. does this mean that everything *not* on the list is allowed?

  Honestly Simon, I get pissed off to no end when people go against you. Not that you are perfect, nope, not that at all. But, you made a gateway to give an enormous amount of support to people at their very worst.

  I can't even imagine how I would have coped without this forum. I don't even think I could have.

  The pain was insanely unbearable and it was just all to much.

  So, I get very angry with the expectation that some people don't give leniency to you trying to just do the best job you can.

  When they get pissed at what they think is your slow reaction, or unjustified reaction, etc, etc. I get pissed.

  Cause, in the end you did not have to do this for us. And I will be forever grateful and in your gratitude.

  me-you allow pedophiles to go d2d and into peoples houses even when they have children.. j.w-no we don't.. me-the one that interfered with a relative of mine does and another i know who raped his sister does in fact he's an elder.. j.w-we cant stop them going d2d.. me- so now your saying they do go d2d you can't stop them,no you don't want to!.

  j.w-it happens in all religions.. me- so that justifies sending pedo's into strangers houses.how would you like it if a pedo came to your place and you didn't know.. j.w- it happened to my mother and if he came to my place it knock him out.. me - but you have no problem with anyone from your church going to peoples houses even if they are a pedo.. we argued around in circles with him saying the elders may not know and me saying well i told them and so did the victim and he admitted to it ,then i told him about the r.c in australia and he said that could be anyone claiming to be a j.w could be on the stand ( by this time he was getting desperate)the i said like jeffery jackson?.

  i told them to look it up on you tube.. i gave then the names and congro's the 2 pedo's are in and said i'd come back next week and see if they had checked it out.the lady's body language said she knew the elder that raped his sister as they are a well know family they were in the year book a few years ago.. stand by for next week.. karter.

  i got lost ocean by johanna basford and i got another coloring book mandalas and more.

  i just use crayola colored pencils and some gel pens and thin tipped markers.

  i just watched this clip on youtube....i can't begin to say how it made me feel.

  , i'm not sure who i am more annoyed about.

  the bloke doing the commentry, the punk shouting at a serious and should be respectful religious event, or some of the youtube comments that follow.. and i find this so disrespectful.

  Azor- I went ahead and read some of your previous posts. My heart goes out to you. It truly does.

  Because of what you went through it seems like you are lashing out a bit. I don't blame you. We all go through phases of anger, sadness, etc as we are exiting.

  What you are going through I'm sure has to be so much worse then what the average JW goes through when exiting the cult. I'm truly sorry for what you have gone through.

  I still stand behind my comments and hope that you can use your anger in a more constructive way. Sometimes it just takes time.

  But, I still can't just not say anything when I believe a person is being bullied.

  Yes, I will say I'm a bit sensitive of a person. I might even be wrong in my opinion. But, I have to stand up for someone when I think they are being bullied. Please respect that.
