I watched Lost for the first time ever last night. It helped that there was one hour reviewing all the past shows. I enjoyed the New Lost but since I haven't watched it before I was getting a bit confused,. I really enjoyed it but still have to figure out who is who.. I still can't figure out if that bald guy (don't know his name yet) is bad or good.

while it tends to allude to the crew getting rescued... and getting off of gilligan's island... it also tends to imply that things did not go so well.. i'm not sure i understood all of it... heck - i know i didn't understand all of it.. regards,.

I did bad things that the Organization would say are bad, thats how I got disfellowshipped at first when I was 18. I was so rebellious I just wanted to do anything that was contrary to them. Some of those things lead to my grief so I guess they were bad because they made me suffer. Then I started doing some things for years that were contrary to society, nothing illegal but not so accepted. I cleaned up my act. I was Bad for years. I do know it was because I was so repressed growing up as a JW. My parents interuptation of the truth was that everything was bad, I wasn't allowed to wear a Bra and my Mom wouldn't even buy me Santary Pads because she was in denial that I was becoming a sexual being. I do not do Bad things according to society now, just according to the Watchtower. I live with my boyfriend for instance.

Thanks for your input Guys and Girls, I got negative input from another Exjw group I am on, they thought she was all about marketing herself for profit and that she was being spiteful. They said she went to the Kingdom Hall and chewed Gum loudly, also took the emblems to cause a scene. They said she talked too much about her sex life in the book. I am openminded and understand where Brenda is coming from. We all react differently to being betrayed by the Watchtower.

she did, with her the householder and 2 pretend JW's preaching at her
and her putting them on the spot with the Fairy interjecting the
truth. Also the audio file of her studying witht he witnesses. That

There was a part on her web page that referred to what she wrote for
her Mother who passed away. Her Mother shunned her and never spoke
to her after she was DF. She forgave her Mother and her words were
so eloquent, it brought immediate tears to my eyes, I had to control
myself not to sob,I am sure all you people have seen it, (her website) but I am still discovering.
Last night I read about the Ray Franz apostasy thing in 1979/80 from
Randy Walters website, I wish I could find my Crisis of Conscience
book, I am ready to read it. I can't believe the coverup and the
lies. Its so fascinating. I am probably just talking about things you all have discussed before
but there are far to many threads here for me to go back that far
before I started here.

The Branch sent out a letter to Elders about 2 yrs ago re: Disaster Preparedness. Included was instructions telling them to have each CBSO collect contact info for each drone including an out-of-state contact person that could be reached in case local phones aren't working.

thanks that is the word my MOM used Disaster Preparedness, I blanked it all out. it was about 2 years ago when she told me that. As I said she made it sound like the end was near and the elders were making it urgent for the congregation flock to do the contact info thing. I know it was a ploy to scare me back to the Borg. For me fear of Armageddon was always there but even that threat was not enough to get me back there. I just hated the whole thing, the people, the rules, the way they act, the way they talk, they are like puppets. I always said that I would rather die than be a JW, and its true, but now its great to know I don't have to die because I am not one Did my parents ever do a good job of instilling the "truth" in me.
It sounds you still have some inside connections going on.

neonmadman that is so funny. In my Moms case It seemed like she did have one inplanted, she idolized the elders, went into a trance like state when one of them talked to her or phoned her. Anyway I just wanted to ask because she made such a big deal about it and it sounded all so important and Dramatic.
Thanks everyone for your input. I have been burying all these fears for years, now its so great to be able to ask and know what is going on.

Did anyone hear about the special program the Jws had or have for locating each one of the faithful ones when the great tribulation occurs or something like that. My JW Mom who passed away in 2006 was going on and on about this but I didn't want to ask to much. I would get an earful of preaching then. She said that they were setting up a special program for when the time came that the government would go after them as foretold in the Scriptures. I seem to remember something about when false religion was destroyed the Wild Beast would attack Jehovahs people or something. I have forgotten so much, haven't opened a bible in 20 years.
It all seemed so dramatic, but 1 1/2 years later and still no need for the program
