I stood for the national anthem...

i stood for the national anthem last night for the first time, from a sitting position.

when i was still in the cult, if i knew the anthem was going to be played, i would find a way to be standing right before it would play.

however, last night, at my son's football game, i stood up from a sitting position.

Several years back after a circuit assembly, a large group of about 30 witnesses went to a baseball game. My family got there about 30 minutes early, found our seats and waited, right up to the national anthem we were the only ones in the group in the seating area. We were wondering if it got canceled and we were not told. During the N/A we sat like good dubs... then as soon as it was over, a crowd of JW came out of no where looking for their seats. They must have been waiting in the hall way for the N/A to finish. This was elder families and such, not mere publishers like myself.

At lease we had first choice of seats in our group.

That was the last time I ever sat during the N/A. I figure if the elders don't even have enough balls to stand up to the professed beliefs they promote, why should I worry about it, it didn't bother my conceince.

Of course if anyone ever saw me do it, The elders would play their theocratic lottery and Pick 3 on my ass.

If Theodore Jaracz does not want to meet for a Judicial Hearing, then he should at least resign as a member of the Governing Body and be true to his own words "we do not go beyond what is written"

If there are any christain men at all who sit on the governing body they should force Mr Jarcaz to step down and resign, or come to a Judicial hearing and face his accusers.

(i know, i was shocked, too, heheheheheheh) please give me some input, because this keeps going around in my crazy little head .

you want to leave the jws, but you are told you are free to leave, but you will be announced as da and you will loose all contact with your family, because they will believe you have done something very very bad.

Yes I think this is blackmail and have been giving it some thought myself.

I have been inactive for about one year, in that time not a single JW has come by my house to see what's up, I guess they are going on the rumors that I am not interested.

I have it pretty good right now, I leave them alone and they leave me alone.

I have been thinking about how things will go down when they finally come to my door drooling at me like a 10 point buck on the first day of dear season.

If they do not want to continue our leave each other alone relation ship, I have been thinking if a reverse blackmail might work with them.

How do you think they would react if I tell them "I agree to stay away and leave you alone, I want the same for me, if you don't leave me alone, you will unleash the worst Apostate against the JW religion that this town has never seen in history!!!!"

Do you think they would leave me alone?

Will my JW wife and son get into trouble for this?

some of you may remember my son's struggle with his beliefs about a year ago.

benjamin was brought up as a jw and was heavily involved, used extensively on the platform as a good jw role model.

however, about a year ago (when he was 13) he started to have doubts and went through a cycle of depression, even contemplating suicide.

The elders should never ask to meet in private with an unbaptized minor without a parent being there. My unbaptised 15 y/o son got into some minor trouble and they wanted to talk with him and a parent should be there, you are the head of your house and in your absense your spouse is. Actually if they have some sort of problem they should come to you and let you handle it.

I would not allow the elders to meet with my child in private, until they are baptized.

If they are trying to put some pressure on him to get baptized... well Jesus didn't get baptized until age 30 and he was the perfect son of God. End of that topic.

it has been brought to my attention that there may be a major scandal working in the billings montana area.

it involves more than ten elders in a motel room at the district convention this summer and 14-16 year old girls.

my information source says there is more to come with possible charges being filed, but key jw's work for social services there and are involved in the investigation.

. There is enough detail stated here from Bill's "information source" that I would think he could follow that source to see how true it was.

I can't believe Bill is that big of a sucker to take the bate on this one and post something like this on the net. I think it does hurt his credibility.

for a limited time free minds, inc is offering free bumper stickers to those who will use them!

we have a new supply of 100 coming in next monday so i wanted to get the word out in conjunction with all the march activity, blood issues and elder control issues, as well as shunning.

Is it illegal to put bumper stickers on other peoples cars?

I would not want to use up your free stock... but if they were cheap enough I think it would be fun to buy some and stick them on the bumpers of the dubs cars around town and while they are in the KH for field service.... wonder how long before they realize it is on there. and if nothing else they will have plenty of time to memorize the web url while they spend 30 minutes scraping the sticker off.

Twisting the scriptures??????

i spoke with my sister on the phone today who still attends meetings.

the co visit was last week and she said in his talk he related the bible story of joseph and potaphers wife and he made the statement that joseph was a pedephile and that is why he went to prison.. where in the world could the wt be going with this line of reasoning?

Maybe they are trying to condition the JWs that even though Joseph was a victim of this sort of behaveor of someone in authority over him, that he had so suffer more by being put in prison.

This could be a way to justify the victims of pedos being subject to more suffering at the hands of the WT leadership. Not fare to Joseph but sometimes the price that is paid.
