Nicely put Charlie Cheddar.
And back to the "I don't know" response of Snowbird, I certainly do agree that it is presumptuous for any human to assume they have all the answers. But I also think that this includes those people who assume God is answering people's prayers. Particularly when the facts seem to prove otherwise.
All of us have little stories of seemingly answered prayers, the same way all of us have stories of severe injustice when it seems no prayers were answered. The point is IT IS RANDOM. To jump on the "If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us." bandwagon I think is a slap in the face to those masses who are experiencing severe hardship despite prayer daily.
In fact I feel the attitude that God answers our prayers when it comes to minor day to day fluff is actually pretty small-minded and egotistical. Yikes. Sorry but I do!
And I also think that I was one of those small minded people up until I left the dubs too.
How is everyone anyway??
