  The new light changes from the draw close to Jehovah printed form vs online form.

  the changes are in paragraph 7 and 8 in the first chapter of draw close to jehovah book, and i fail to see any doctrine change, only the gb trying to cover up possible mistakes they've made and potential embarrassment of worldly sources knowing what jehovah's name means while they were wrong.

  let's examine this new light they quote with this letter.

  let's see a word for word comparison on what many will be talking about in meetings about the wonderful new light and evidence that they are the faithful slave...... .

  Alternative Daily Text for Thursday, January 9, 2014

  “There was a dense darkness in all the land of Egypt for three Days … and none of them got up from where they were for three days.” (Exodus 10:22, 23)

  In our time there is no literal darkness anymore, but also “today it is not Pharaoh who is ruler … [but] Jehovah God, the Greater Pharaoh.” (Survival Into a New Earth, page 79) Accordingly the “darkness” does not come upon Pharaoh’s people, the Egyptians, but upon Jehovah’s people. This happens every year during the “three-day district conventions, organized by Jehovah’s Witnesses.” (The Watchtower, July 1, 2007, page 7) Like the Egyptians, Jehovah’s Witnesses do not ‘get up from where they are for three days’ because “getting up unnecessarily” and “moving about unnecessarily” is prohibited. – Exodus 10:23; Our Kingdom Ministry, February 1988, page 7; May 1993, page 6.

  Some may object and say that at these conventions there is not “darkness” but rather “brighter light.” (The Watchtower, September 15, 2011, page 14) But the prophet Isaiah already warned against “those who are putting darkness for light.” (Isaiah 5:20, NWT 1984) And “Satan … put forth error … as a substitute for truth. In other words, he put darkness for light. Interestingly, it was regarding life, saying that Eve would not die but would continue to live in the flesh on earth if she did as he suggested. He promised her increased enlightenment.” – The Watchtower, May 15, 1976, page 304.

  So Jehovah’s Witnesses follow Satan’s example. They too keep saying that their followers “would not die but would continue to live in the flesh on earth” if the follow the Watchtower doctrines. This started as early as 1918 with the discourse “Millions now living will never die!” and continues to this day. (Jehovah’s Witnesses – Proclaimers of God’s Kingdom, page 425) Like the devil, they ‘promise increased enlightenment’ in the form of “accurate knowledge of God’s purpose.” (The Watchtower, September 1, 2009, page 6) But in actual fact, their conventions are “a dense [spiritual] darkness!”

  No 2014 JW Yearbook (Yet as of 1-6-14)

  for me is very strange that the yearbook for 2014 is not out yet on the internet and/or gongregations.

  is strange to me because it is a book that comes annually, and no word yet from the borg of it.

  you don't expect something like that from the wt/fds/gb to be dlayed that much.. it makes me wonder, what's going on???

  Why does the WT insist that the first five books of the bible were written by Moses?

  any biblical scholar worth his salt will tell you otherwise, and it's not as if this is a new concept.

  as early as the 1700s people were noticing that the first books of the bible had numerous authors.

  tell that to an elder, though, and you'll be booted for apostasy faster than you can say spanish inquisition.

  Because the statement "the man Moses was by far the meekest of all the men who were upon the surface of the ground" is more credible when Moses wrote it?

  “Clouds and thick gloom are all around him.” (Psalm 97:2)

  The Bible urges us to “search for Jehovah.” (Psalm 105:4) Where can we find him? “Clouds and thick gloom are all around him,” said the psalmist. (Psalm 97:2) “Jehovah said he would reside in the thick gloom,” that’s why “he … covered himself in darkness.” (1 Kings 8:12; Psalm 18:11) So it’s beyond question that God can be found only in the darkness.

  But not everyone wants us to come closer to God. For example, the Watchtower “magazine has long been used by ‘the faithful and discreet slave’ as the primary channel for dispensing increased light.” (The Watchtower, April 15, 2010, page 10) This “slave” even demands “appreciation for the increased light” of his followers, though this alienates them from God. (The Watchtower, May 15, 1995, page 26) “By the ever-increasing light” he brings Jehovah’s Witnesses ever closer to Satan, the “angel of light.” – 2 Corinthians 11:14; The Watchtower, April 15, 1953, page 231.

  Alternative Daily Text for Tuesday, January 7, 2014

  “How blessed will be the one who seizes your young children and pulverizes them against the cliff!” (Psalm 137:9, ISV)

  As described by the prophet Isaiah, God himself had charged the Babylonians with devastating the land of Israel and making it “an object of horror.” In the same prophecy he announced that after 70 years, he would punish Babylon for executing his order. (Jeremiah 25:9, 12) What would be the punishment?

  He told the Babylonians through the psalmist: “How blessed will be the one who seizes your young children and pulverizes them against the cliff!” (Psalm 137:9, ISV) Obviously, God likes it when little children are killed barbarously, so he blesses and praises people who do so. The prophecy was originally fulfilled by Cyrus some 2,500 years ago, “but in the fullest sense, Cyrus was not the one meant in the closing words of Psalm 137: … ‘O daughter of Babylon … Happy will he be that grabs ahold and does dash to pieces your children against the crag.’ … Who will be that ‘happy’ one?” –Worldwide Security Under the “Prince of Peace”, page 148.

  “In the near future happy will be the official service of the antitypical Cyrus, the glorified Jesus Christ, to see to it that accounts are settled with Babylon” and that in a spiritual sense its children are dashed to pieces. “Worshipers of Jehovah … take the divine view of justice and so can join the inspired psalmist” in his statement that pulverizing little children makes happy. – The Watchtower, May 15, 1980, page 20.

  Since all people who are not Jehovah’s Witnesses will be killed, many of God’s worshippers will lose their mate, children, or other relatives, also dear friends. (You Can Live Forever in Paradise on Earth, pages 181, 255) But the Bible clearly shows that “God’s servants are told to exult” at their destruction. (The Watchtower, June 15, 1975, page 378) “Jehovah … fills the earth with dead bodies … It will be a feast to those who are on the Lord’s side.” – Light, volume II, pages 172, 173.

  In heaven there will be “great joy over the eternal destruction” of all infidels. (The Watchtower, December 15, 1988, page 23) And “life on earth after the destruction of all” family members who had turned away from Jehovah’s Witnesses or had too few hours of field service “will be a delight.” (The Watchtower, December 1, 1974, page 719) Indeed, “it will be a wonderful thing to live in Paradise” without all these people. (Listening to the Great Teacher, page 182) Even today we can sense the pleasant anticipation of this time if we regard unbelieving relatives “as though dead.” – Revelation – Its Grand Climax at Hand!, page 50.
