Does Anyone Like the New Songbook?
by metatron ini'll try not to be 'knee-jerk' critical about this subject but do any witnesses like the new songbook?
ok, they got rid of some awful lyrics about molesting bees - and downsized references to the ever redundant jesus - but the music itself sounds like forced piano practice.
trying to sing these slow, pedantic tunes is awkward and painful.. i haven't seen any witness e-mails about this 'wonderful provision from jehovah' and his faithful hacks, so i wonder if the rank and file aren't enthused either.

I hate the smell of cigarette smoke. I can't even imagine injesting smoke into my lungs. But to each his own. I don't pass judgement on anyone if they want to ruin their health. It's their life or death.

Sis. Janet Jackson reveals shocking news on Oprah !!
by ShirleyW inwhen oprah asked if the kids were being raised jw and she knew that jdubs don't celebrate b'days and holidays, janet gave the shocking news that (i'd advise all with heart and medical conditions to take a seat now) she said that yes the children do (as ins always) celebrate there b'day and holidays.
the horror, i'm so totally shocked and stunned!!
you mean a poor family from gary, indiana hit the big time, and although the mother was a jw and the dad was not, and the kids were signed to million dollar contracts while in their teens .

I thought Elizabeth Taylor decorated his house for his first Xmas. I'm probably wrong about that.

Someone mentioned the feeling of missing out on something and that's not really how I'm feeling. It's just, well I can't really explain it, The thought of change I guess for the lack of a better term. I've gone to these Memorials for 45 years and to not go is a big change. But I don't want to go. Is'nt that just crazy? I know I'll feel better tomorrow.
