I am soooooo sick of these triples digit days with no rain. It is so dang hot out! I know you folks are going through it to. That's why I thought I'd complain and see how you are all staying cool. It is 102 degrees here in Oklahoma. We have had 27 days straight of over 100 degrees and no rain. It really sucks.

I know of at least 2 people in my life who were molested as children and neither one of them has committed murder or any other crime. In fact they are both loving parents and good adults. Using molestation as an excuse for something this bad is just totally out of the realm of decency. Maybe they could'nt physically prove that this monster killed her little girl, but she did many things that proved what kind of person she is. Whether she was molested or not really does'nt matter to me at all. That's NEVER an EXCUSE for bad actions.
I know my opinion on this really doesn't make a bit of difference. But someone eventually will pay for what happened to that little girl.

Something else that I can't figure out is the fact that i've seen people put in jail for cruelty to animals, which they should be, but this jerk walks. This "justice system" is really screwed up if you ask me.

She got off alright but she will always be known as a baby killer. I personally think she did it. I think she is a sorry piece of scum who needs to have duct tape placed over her nose and mouth, only without the benefit of the chloraform putting her to sleep first. And just as she starts to pass out let her have a quick breath of air and do it again. I guess you all can tell that this has really pissed me off.

Saturday Morning Musings ...
by snowbird inone hot, hot thursday, in july of 1987, i worked a half day, drove from wilcox county to mobile county to pick up a sister, then hit i-10 for new orleans to attend the convention which began the next day.. the evening traffic was unbelievable; when i finally arrived and pulled into our hotel parking lot, i was shaking like a leaf in the wind.
we checked in, and after showering, i fell into bed and slept like a drunk person.. the next morning, friday, was a complete blur as we made our way to the superdome.
i don't remember anything that was discussed that day, just the searing heat as we returned to the hotel.. after a long shower, i again fell into a deep slumber.

The only part I enjoyed was the drive back home. I was always in such a fowl mood the day before and as each day was over my mood improved a little bit. By Sunday, I was on cloud 9. Now I just thank the Lord that it is over for me. What torture!

My husband went to prison in Seagoville Texas for 22 months for not joining the military. Just about ruined our marriage but somehow we survived. Our son was 3 months old when he left.

Buried my father today
by littlerockguy ini mostly post fluff and music posts on this thread more often now but just thought i would let some people here who still know me about what has been goin on with me recently.
my dad about a 7 month battle with lung cancer which metastasized to the bones and he died early wed morning.
my dad was a fascinating man, complex, sometimes open and sometimes a very aloof and detached person.
