  Growing up and facing going back to school after Christmas break.

  how did you who grew up as witnesses face the questions of "what did you get for christmas" when you went back to school after the break?

  i found it to be very stressful as a child trying to explain why i did'nt get anything.

  sometimes i even made up fake gifts just to make myself not look so different.

  I hate to admit it because it reveals how old I'm getting but yes I remember green stamps. It was so much fun trading them in for stuff. Never donated any to the KH that I know of.

  hi all, it's been a long, long time since i have posted.

  at the same time, i meditate on how 5 generations of my family have suffered believing the lies perpetrated by it.

  i am thankful i found a loving wife finally a few years ago !

  one that treats me with love and respect - and not like a freaking idiot like in former relationships !

  Hey Mr.Flipper, I'm a grandma instead of a grandpa! Just thought I'd clear that up and I hope you are right that I had a part in helping my daughter overcome her depression. I know I really tried to understand how she was feeling. I really enjoy your comments and appreciate how you reply back to our posts. Enjoy your day!!!

  When SHOULD you have "woken up" ?

  i can look back to a number of occasions when if i had at the time not left my braincells at home on charge, i should have "woken up" and walked from the wtbs.. one such was 15 or 20 yers ago we had a washtowel on daniels prophecy with the really wacky explanations of the 1260 days and 2300 days etc.

  i had about 12 questions on this,like what on earth happened on the supposed finish date that marked the fulfillment of a great prophecy,i also had this thing that showed the 2520 years to be crap,i gave the list of questions to 7 or 8 elders,and none of them gave me a decent answer!.

  one kindly elder,who has since faded,warned me to be carefull who i showed my questions to,and hinted that he felt it was all suspect too.. what a big banana i was not to wake up then!.

  When I was with my daughter in a meeting with the elders and one of them siad that "when you are talking to me you are talking to Jehovah" .That really has bothered me ever since.

  My daughter tried to commit suicide in August so I am thankful that she has completly recovered, has a nice job, 2 wonderful little baby girls and a good husband that truly loves her. Also I am thankful for my son and his family, my sweet little grandson that loves me unconditionally. And they are all happy.

  I met my husband at the KH. It has been 39 years of complete misery! So much for marrying "in the Lord".
