I think JWs who want to adopt should be judged by the same standards as other would be parents. If they qualify they should be allowed to adopt.

Should JWs be allowed to adopt children?http://jehovahs-witness.adoption.co
by Brummie inif they were unable to produce their own?.
what would be you're response to that question?.
consider that they are just human and have the same paternal instincts as most people do, the desire to be a mom & dad, to hold a lil bundle of joy, or to nurse and care for a child etc their doctrine and faith is one of honesty and trust and will install in a child the values of keeping the law, avoiding such things as drug abuse, theft and harming others.. .

Can David beat Goliath again?
by Gill inthe wtbts is a huge multi million dollar industry.
we can't possible compare in its wealth.
yet i believe it is more than possible by pointing out just a few of the wtbts errors of doctrine and policy to bring down this legalistic, fanatical, organization.

Yes, I believe "David" can beat "Goliath" again. But just as in the first time he is going to need God's help.

What was Judas' motive for betrayal?
by JustTickledPink innot getting into any specific bible scriptures, just thinking about jesus and his friends all hanging out when judas decides to betray him.
what would the motive be?.
do you think that judas was really that hard up financially and wanted the money?

Judas' greed left him open for Satan to operate through him, imo.

Make your own prophecy...
by melmac in.
the "composite sign" given by jesus could relate to many centuries in the past, and will no doubt fit many centuries in the future.
it's by no means a "fingerprint", as religions (especially dubs) will have it.. now, if you were in jesus' shoes and were to give an ummistakable sign, what would it be?

In Jesus name,,,amen!
by frankiespeakin ini find it hard to beleive that one needs a certain formula to follow in order to pray to god.
any formula you find got to be a human invention.
it is hard for me to imagine a god that is so petty that he won't answer a persons prayer unless they follow with the ending "in jesus name" come on that sounds crazy.

The Watchtower misses the whole point. It is the meaning of Jesus' name that is relevant. Not the saying of the word itself.

Opinions on Matthew 15:21-28
by wordlywife inthis is a passage that has always bothered me, and was wondering if it bothered anyone else.
to me it sounds as though jesus thinks of some people as dogs and not deserving of anything.
maybe i have an incorrect view on this.

My view as one who believes the Bible is what it is because God made it so:
1. Matthew and Mark, in this instance, opened the door to the spiritual inclusion of those who would naturally be excluded. The law of love was shown as superceding the law of even Jesus' commission. An important rule to be remembered by all Christians.
2. It also highlights the all too evident superior qualities of the Gospel of John, a Gospel written for our day. In my opinion.

Blood Fractions and Your Conscience
by FairMind infor arguments sake lets assume that the wts teachings that the bibles prohibition against blood is valid with regard to accepting a transfusion.
jws are now being told that while they cannot accept whole blood or whole blood components such as red blood cells, white blood cells and blood plasma, they can if their conscience permits accept blood fractions.
i have thought quite a bit about how and why the accepting of some blood fractions and not others is supposedly a conscience matter.

Sadly, most JWs don't realize their beloved religion turned into a beloved legalistic entity years ago. It's no longer what Jehovah says but what the legal department says. The Governing Body has sold its soul to the legal department cowardly leaving God and brother in the dust in order to protect their true God: The Corporations!
They are hypocrites, liars, child murderers and every other thing imaginable. Their blood policy is a lie and they know it.

Parousia- Is it just me? Has anyone else noticed this?
by upside/down inthe entire premise of the debate of christ's "presence" as discussed in matt24:3 to me makes no sense.
here's why: we have to assume by the question asked by the apostles, that they understood the whole "presence" concept, which they didn't.
they were merely asking him when "the end" would come, i'm not even sure if they know what "the end" really meant.

u/d,
So, then, are you saying you disagree with the NWT translation's use of "Presence" and "System of things" rather than "Coming" and "End of the age" as other translations have it?
