i would not want to be in the shoes of the governing body of the jehovahs witnesses when that time of trouble comes upon this earth in the form of the great tribulation, for they have misguided many sheep like people to worship an institution a publishing company a cult of personalitys rather than our maker..

No matter what it is that I would want to delve into as far as worship is concerning or enlightenment, I would first have to read something about it even if it was about the Greek god Cronos and all his sons and daughters who were gods like him. Unless I just wanted to dream dreams on my own and call them visions from some higher source.

by littlebuddy inmy jw elder friend said to me that the nwt is the best translation of the bible and that scholars have said as much.
is this true and is it the best?
are there scholars who disagree?.

Have as many translations as possible, stop becoming a robot and start thing for your self, a true student of the bible uses many translations to prove if this or that is so.

Without the wt org, what have you got to keep you going in worshipping jehovah? A church, the bible? Also, HOW do you worship jehovah?

In answer to your question: I can only say what has kept me going. I persevere in seeking out Jehovah because I personally feel that he does exist, and like the bible writer says I truly feel that Jehovah does become a rewarder of anyone seeking him in sincerity.” Again I can only speak for myself, I have not needed no “Organization” with all their man made rules in order to pray, to read and study his written word, to meditate on all written wisdom no matter from what source that pertains to his holy writings, and his creation, just to mention a few things. The goal of the Governing Body of the Witnesses is cause you to think that only they have enough common sense to accept the writing of god’s word. Too bad because they don’t accept god’s word with out their babblings, they have polluted it so much with their apostate teachings that it is nothing like it was in the time of Russell. Russell at least did not try to enslave you to the thinking of a group of men somewhere across the country; we all know the story of Joseph Rutherford and his desire to become a demigod.

some of the newly exiting jw's may not know this info - but need to be made aware of it.. as a young man i was raised in the cult jehovah's witnesses and remained from birth until age 44 .
i was never, ever asked by my elder father in all those years the question, " son, how is your relationship with jehovah doing ?

Wow, reading your thread brings back memories in my empty head! All those catch phrases made me a bit squeamish, like this one “Brothers are you reaching out for the office of overseer, or you young ones have you “set your goals for Bethel service”. It all began when my dad set me up at a circuit assembly to scrap food trays into a garbage can, and he kept telling me it was a privilege, of course I roiled my eyes just before I puked into the can of scraped food.

Do Jehovah's Witnesses even know their own teachings...
by Tuesday ini've had a rash of people commenting on my videos lately that seem to not even understand their own teachings.
it leads me to question if jehovah's witnesses can even explain their own beliefs.
for example if i ask a question about the 1914 doctrine specifically about the biblical backing behind 607 bce being the year for the destruction of jerusalem, 9 times out of 10 i'm going to get some sort of answer that involves the "prophecy" in matthew 24 and how it somehow has been fufilled since 1914.. apart from the fact i honestly don't think i can find a jehovah's witness who will actually understand the question at hand enough to answer the points therein, i'm to the point where i don't know if jehovah's witnesses even understand their own teachings.

Haven’t you heard the saying: “When everyone is thinking alike no one is thinking at all!” Well, it aptly applies to the Jehovah’s Witnesses, just go to one of their Witch Tower meetings, I don’t consider that a discussion, they all use the same platitudes and catch phrases no matter what kingdom hall you may be at, and further more the guy conducting the so called study is trained to make sure they all stay to what is in the paragraph, incidentally remember you have to use their study materials not even different bibles. What a Farce.

The Angels who sinned early on had a chance to rectify their course and many did, but those who lingered until after the flood became hardened in their ways. Angels are not humans, and there for Jehovah deals with them differently. It was not heavenly Angels that were considered and asked to reign with our blessed savor Jesus and take on the Divine nature, God in his wisdom seen an opportunity to test humans during these difficult times that will never happen again.

i have left the truth and have made my life completely religion free.. in the few short weeks i have looked at this again i have gone a tiny bit insane.

First off stop calling it the truth, if you realy do think its the truth from God then by all means get up there and set in the front row. When I stopped calling it the "truth" I knew then I was on the road to healing.
