I remember when I felt I the need to prove my point with GB about beards, and in a sick way get their approval so I felt good about wearing one, I told them at the time if many of the judges on the US Supreme Court have beards where do you get off saying it is unacceptable to wear one if I so desire? I now feel no need to ask them for permission for anything in life or my spirituality, I guess I am finally free from the Borg or Landrew, or Cult or whatever you want to call it them; and it feels dam good. So, pass me that Doobie.

by Open mind ini've done a jwn search on beards and had some great reads.. i've learned the history of russell vs. rutherford and knorr and the hippies.. here's what i'd like to hear about.. either you or someone you know who grew a beard and the fallout because of it.. for me, i'd love to hear about the squeaky clean elder who decided to grow a beard and got removed because of it.. katie kitten, from england, on another thread told the story of her dad, the squeaky clean elder who grew a beard in the 70's and got away with it.. i don't think that would happen in california 2009.. anyway, what are your beard stories?.

Attended DC this weekend, quick recap...the End may not be imminent could take a million years but its still coming
by shopaholic inattended the dc this weekend in california with a jw acquaintance of mine that wanted to go 'jw man-hunting' and didn't want to go alone.
she knows i'm not active and haven't been to a meeting in a long time and have no interest in jw men.
i think she feels like she has the best of both worlds with me, anyway it was interesting...the gb appears to be changing their tune and i don't think the masses even realize it.. br.

My ex-wife who was a Witness all her life was a freek about such things, we would go to a movie and if some women flashed on the screen with her boobs a flopping she would try to place both hands on my head and force my head down on to my lap, I remeber I knocked her hands off my head and yelled "Bitch Please"!!!! I told her latter if she ever done that again I dump her like the freek she is. I didn't care if she seen some naked dude on the big screen. Ah she was just a Beeeoch annyway.
