  just be glad they're not usually like this -.

  i was walking home from shopping one day when i saw a guy standing casually at the side of the footpath with his hands behind his back, watching the passers-by.

  he didnt look like he was about to do anything weird.

  hey ed!

  We got those hare krishnas in holland too!

  they usually post around railway stations. I think I must look gullible too because they always hit on me. In exactly the same way: before you know it you have some books in your hand. last time they tried to make me accept some weird organic cookery book of some kind. I usually tell them I am not interested, but they are persistent indeed. “Uh, actually, would you mind giving one of those books back? We usually try to get a bit more for them.”

  For those of you raise in the "truth" a Question

  i myself was raised in the "truth" til i was df'd at the age of 21. i have often wondered that if i were allowed to grow up just as every other child did in the u.s. would i have been interested in looking at the organization and taking interest?

  do any of you think and wonder the same thing?

  I was raised in it and grew out of it. It is much like being raised in Disneyland believing that is reality. When young and naive we tend to believe whatever we are being told. I grew out of this belief much like a child grows out of believing Santa claus exists. When looking back I can fully understand why I believed as such. However I can hardly believe how someone from outside would join them. I fully agree with number 6:

  "The very first thing anyone does before making a commitment of any magnitude is RESEARCH, taking into account all points of view. "

  Therefore, I think I would've never be drawn into it. the very reason I left was research and a hubger for truth. Science fulfills that hunger now.

  i quit smoking nine hours and 52 minutes ago.

  All I can say is: GOOD LUCK!

  I tried it a few times but never picked it up. My only addiction is cafeïne and I'm not giving that up!

  Health reasons? Yeah, as a biology student I've had the privilege to take a look at smoker lungs on a plate. That was horrible! It was a smelly, black ooze. The memory of that is a perfect antidote whenever I think of picking up smoking.

  I know how it works now!

  It is easy to find out how it works if you take a number of digits for example:

  85,86,84,34,28 etc you will notice they all point to the same symbol after your initial calculation. try it and find out!

  you take the name of your favourite pet as the first part of your porn-star name, then you take your mothers maiden name for your porn-star surname.. which makes me...george bennet, hmm fairly ordinary i suppose... but her ladyship becomes...poppy male...ah, it works sometimes then!.
